The property was created from the conversion of a traditional farm steading, Parlour Cottage was the old milking parlour in a former life. Wonderful walking and cycling are available direct from the door, and the Southern Upland Way, Scotland's Coast to Coast long distance walk, is close by. It is an ideal base for hill walking, wildlife and bird watching, sightseeing, or fishing. Or try your hand at gold panning. The kitchen looks out over a courtyard which is also really beautiful. Plenty of space to park outside and Elaine showed us where the girls could play outside in the orchard.
