Bear Back Poma anticipated open date is early December, but is dependent on snow conditions. The property is not ski-in/out until the Poma opens. Ski Out: Step out the garage, go right to connect to the Bear Back Poma. At the top of the Poma you will ski a groomed access run to Ramcharger and Swift Current in the base area. Ski In: Intermediate and Expert can ski Silverknife to Bear Back Poma. Follow the Poma down, but don't go all the way to the bottom. You will see ski tracks to the left where people have cut to the left and back towards the units. This will make it easier to get closer to the garage of the unit. Beginners should ski out the Summit Hotel and then ski the road back to the unit. The ski-in/ski-out access was a game-changer, even for our less experienced skiers and snowboarders. It was convenient to be so close to the village, but the quick drive to the drop-off area saved us time and hassle. The house was perfect for our multi-generational group, providing ample space for everyone. Kids of all ages, from infants to teenagers, had their own comfortable areas. The kitchen was a chef's dream, easily accommodating our large family. We loved relaxing in the spacious living room and enjoying the hot tub on the deck. Plus, the consistent snow removal made everything accessible throughout our stay. The mountain itself was a thrill for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. It's massive, even compared to Mammoth, and we spent entire days exploring its diverse terrain. Access to the climate-controlled garage with snow gear storage and boot drying was an amazing added bonus. We loved coming home to dry boots and ready-to-go gear. We drove to Yellowstone for 2 of the days and although it's over an hour to get there, the travel had beautiful scenery. We also did whitewater rafting nearby, which was a blast. Short and easy ski to a t-bar lift that takes you to the main base in the mornings. Ski right to the back door at the end of the day. Can't beat it! It's a short walk to the village and there are a couple of places to eat, if you just want to get out of the house for a meal. Mountain Village is pretty weak, but we didn't go to Big Sky for the dining options. The condo is very well appointed. Not sure why this is better detailed in the listing. There is a boot dryer and racks for skis in the garage & individual cubbies in the mud room for jackets, hats, boots, etc. The room set up worked perfectly for our group. There is a "kids" room on the ground floor- 2 sets of bunks, a trundle, and a pull out sofa, full bath, plus TV and game system. Middle floor is a nice kitchen, massive great room with a shuffle board table, deck with a nice hot tub, and a king master. Third floor has two bedrooms (K & Q), each with their own toilet/sink, but a jack & jill shower. There is also a pull out sofa in the third floor loft. This worked great for us (2 adults and 5 teenage boys). Would love to go back! :) ##### Deniz G. It is very close to Big Sky Basecamp, the lake, the lifts, bike rentals, and just 10 minutes to the meadow where there are lots of stores, golfing and restaurants. ##### ashleigh l. Shuffleboard was a hit! It is also short walking distance to restaurants, the main lift, etc. We loved the property, but the master bedroom and one of the queen beds are extra firm and we didn’t sleep all week.
