Just a short drive to the village and right around the corner from boulder bay! It was far enough out that you felt like you were really out in nature. The cabin itself is cozy and we found the kitchen to be stocked with plenty of utensils which is always nice in a rental. The house stayed cool despite no AC (at least that we could find). The back deck got lots of sun and was nice to relax in. The couch and bed were comfortable. The outdoor grill was great too. Communication was also excellentCons: the house needs to be cleaned better. The walls in the bedroom had a lot of cobwebs in the corners and the light switchs were filthy. Whoever cleaned the place seemed to not be doing a thorough job. The back deck was littered with debri which is understandable given it’s in the woods, but it wouldn’t hurt to sweep it up in between guests. There were also random things strewn about like old bowls, string lights, a non functioning bbq, Christmas decor, etc. the deck furniture is in poor shape and was haphazardly placed around the deck. The hot tub was luke warm and the water was an off color so we didn’t feel comfortable using it at all. Also the cushions in the hot tub were either missing or disintegrating. The other major issue was ants. Every morning there were tons of ants crawling around the kitchen and they managed to get into our food before we knew there was a problem.
