Walk to the lake! Centrally located, our cabin is a 6 minute walk to the lake, a half mile to the Village and a mile to Snow Summit. Featuring a Jacuzzi and fireplace, Bear Lake Hideaway is situated in a quaint neighborhood with a lovely, welcoming spirit. Just down the block from Meadow Park which offers tennis courts, volley ball, basketball, kids playground, and a dog park. Ski Beach, which sits adjacent to Meadow Park, provides a path down to the lake (and water skiing when the lake is full). The Village is also walking distance, a half mile down Big Bear Blvd. The best breakfast place in town, the Grizzly Manor Cafe, is right on the corner! There are board games for your family's entertainment. The kitchen is fully stocked with the following appliances: a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, range, and refrigerator. Linen and towels are included. We do recommend bringing extra towels for the Jacuzzi. We currently have Spectrum Cable's Silver package which includes sports, HBO, and Cinemax Guest Access: Guests will have access to the entire 2 bedroom cabin, fireplace, BBQ and spa. Help yourself to anything you need. Interaction with guests: We like to give our guests privacy, but you are welcome to contact us anytime with questions or concerns. We are available via text, email or telephone call. We usually respond to any message within an hour. Other things to note: Guests are welcome to use the fireplace, however, we do not supply firewood. Small pieces of wood work much better as our fireplace is great for atmosphere, not for heating the cabin. We loved it here, the only thing when booking the pictures looked like it was a fully fenced yard that’s why we booked because we had 2 dogs but we arrived and notice the whole front was open and not gated. Someone will have to sit in an uncomfortable chair that makes your thighs sweat. There's room for another couch instead of the rocking chair. I notice this is a complaint going back to 2021\. Should have studied the photos better. The code to get in was wrong which was frustrating after a long drive and waiting 90 minutes to be able to check-in. The house was cute and quaint. It suited the 3 of us well. Only bummer is I didn't realize there weren't closets in the bedrooms, but with our short stay it didn't affect us too much. The upstairs balcony was great for stepping out and watching the snow fall. We were lucky enough to get some snowfall while we were there. Ton of dirt and debris under couch cushions. Place smelled like bacon because it looks like a wipe down v. a true cleaning. BBQ was overflowing with ash and same for the containers for ash. Everything was great except the sink in the upstairs bathroom that was very slow to drain.
