Aug 10, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location Quaint farmhouse it is. It is in a beautiful area and very close to the Zugspitz. There is a great restaurant right across the street that we ate at the day of arrival. All of the rooms are upstairs and the floors are very old, so they creak. A lot. The bathroom is all the way at the back of the house downstairs. I wouldn’t recommend this place for people with young children or older folks that can’t maneuver stairs. We had to make sure to not stub our toes on the threshold to one of the main bedrooms, as it had an almost 1inch rise going out of the room. It was advertised with a dryer. It did not, unless you consider a drying rack a dryer. We tried to dry our clothes, but the downstairs area was very humid our towels didn’t even dry. It had all of the amenities you would need and there is a grocery on the way. The host, Olivia lives right across the way, so she was available if we needed anything. Die Wohnung war schön, sauber und ausreichend ausgestattet. Parkmöglichkeiten sind ausreichend vorhanden. Ein kleines Manko war der leicht muffige Geruch bei der Ankunft, der nach einem Tag durch Lüften aber weitestgehend weg war. Die Gastgeber waren nett und freundlich. Lots of great alpine views and convenient to lifts, hiking and biking trails. The property is part of a rustic working farm. Kids loved swing the cats and chickens every day. The house is traditional and rustic. The three bedrooms upstairs all have several beds and are interconnected. Kitchen is large, well stocked and has a large eating area and dishwasher. Bathroom is a good size and has a washing Machine. The sitting room is dry traditional with hand made wood paneling and a large terra cotta stove. Jun 23, 2022 Liked: Check-in, communication #### sehr altes, renovierte Bauernhaus ( Doppelhaushälfte) Es handelt sich um ein Grundstück von 3 großen Gebäuden. War früher wohl einmal eine Schmiede. Die Häuser sind unterteilt, viele Besitzer. Zufahrt zum Haus sehr eng und schmal, kein Parken vorm Haus möglich, dafür muss man am Haus vorbei über einen Bach zum Hauptgeäude, wo auch die Eigentümer wohnen. Das Haus ist sehr alt, so gut es geht renoviert und hergerichtet, das ist auch in Ordnung gewesen. Jedoch riecht es entsprechend. Das Bad ist hinter der Küche durch einen Gang ( hinter der Wand befindet sich, dem Geruch nach, ein alter Kuhstall, bzw. Hühnerstall. Die Zentralheizung wird mit eine Holzofen in der Küche bedient!!! Haben wir so auch noch nie gesehen. Wir waren im Juni 5 Tage dort. Das Wetter war durchwachsen, sodass wir immer einheizen mussten, da es im Gebäude recht kühl war. Privatatmosphäre ist relativ, da kein Garten dabei ist. Lediglich eine Sitzgelegenheit vor dem Haus. Hatten eine Hund dabei, nach der Reservierung hieß es, dass man für ihn zahlen muß. Wir hatten es vorher angegeben, da wurde nichts erwähnt. Wir waren viel unterwegs, sodass es irgendwie die 5 Tage ging, aber trotzdem sollten in der Beschreibung ein paar Dinge erwähnt werden, damit es kein "böses Erwachen" vor Ort wird. Stören kann man da kaum jemanden! Super sauber, super gemütlich! Ideal für zwei Paare und zwei-drei Kinder. Die Schlafzimmer sind im 1\. OG. Das dritte Zimmer ist gefangen, d.h. ohne eigenes Fenster und ohne Verbindung zum Flur. Für uns war das völlig problemlos, da unsere Kinder so nachts leicht zu uns rüberhuschen konnten. Toilette und Bad sind ein Stock tiefer (EG, hinter der WohnKüche), das ist gut zu wissen, ist aber auch aus dem Grundriss auf der Homepage zu ersehen. Wir hatten einen Bullerofen in der Wohnküche mit reichlich Brennmaterial, der Vermieter des Hauses hat schon früh am Morgen eingeheizt. Alle Wohnräume waren warm (wenn man immer Brennmaterial nachfüllte) und gemütlich, ein Abstellraum, vor dem Haus ein Bach, ein Brunnen, weitere (oftmals wohl ehemalige) Bauernhäuser, ein kleiner Sitzplatz, Ruhe... Für Kinder wirklich wunderschön, auch abseits des großen Tourirummels. Ein Kirchlein und eine Bushaltestelle sind unmittelbar nahe, die Schigebiete haben wir in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto erreicht. Die Vermieterin supernett, immer hilfreich, immer erreichbar über WhatsApp oder auch persönlich. Der Brötchendienst über sie klappte super mit leckerem Morgengebäck. Es ist genug Platz für alle und sehr gut ausgestattet. Frau Wörz kümmert sich großartig um ihre Gäste und der Brötchenservice am Morgen ist ein Highlight! Wir waren 2 Familien mit je 2 Kindern im alten von je 2 und 4 Jahren. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und es gab alles was man braucht. Das einzige Manko ist der Holzofen, bei dem man regelmäßig Holz nachlegen muss, wodurch es nachts etwas kälter wird. Dennoch war es sehr warm im Haus und wir hatten eine schöne Zeit. Im der Umgebung gibt es einige schöne Ski- und Rodelgebiete und auch zum spazieren gibt es direkt vor dem Haus schöne Möglichkeiten. Der Eintritt fürs Schwimmbad in Ehrwald war im Hauspreis mit drin und eine schöne Abwechslung für die Kinder. Auch die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war top. ##### Helena F. Jan 8, 2018 #### Gemütlich und urig Wir haben unser Familienweihnachtsfest im Schmittenhof verbracht, waren rundum zufrieden und bestens durch die netten Vermieter versorgt. Aug 28, 2017 #### So etwas haben wir noch nie erlebt!! Wir hatten bereits im Februar dieses grosse Haus gebucht und bereits sehr netten Kontakt mit Frau Wörz gehabt. An dem Freitag vor unserer Abreise informierte Sie uns dann aber ganz beiläufig per Email, dass es eine Überbuchung gegeben hat und dass Sie uns in ein anderes Haus gebucht hat. Adresse stand dabei. Da waren wir ersteinmal geschockt...Das ist schliesslich unser Jahresurlaub und dann sowas. Nach langem Hin und Her und Telefonaten mit Fewo direkt und auch mit Frau Wörz, stellte sich heraus, dass zum gleichen Zeitpunkt andere Gäste dieses Haus gebucht haben. Da es sich dabei um 6 Personen handelte, ist Frau Wörz schon bei der Buchung (im Februar!!!!!) davon ausgegangen, dass wir (4 Erwachsene und ein Kleinkind) in ihrem anderen Haus urlauben könnten (Haus Anno Tyrol). Sie ist davon ausgegengen, dass unser Kind (2 Jahre alt) kein eigenes Schlafzimmer, wie in diesem Haus, benötigt und sowieso bei den Eltern schlafen würde. Daher ihre eigenmächtige Umbuchung ins Anno Tyrol mit nur 2 Schlafzimmern. Eine Unverschämtheit, uns dann auch noch nicht einmal zu informieren!!!! Ohne unser Drängeln, wäre Frau Wörz uns auch nicht mit dem Preis entgegen gekommen!!!!! Also starteten wir samstags mit einem miesen Gefühl in den Urlaub, in eine Unterkunft, die wir nicht gebucht hatten und anscheinend ohne jegliche Möglichkeit das Haus zu bekommen, welchens wir eigentlich gebucht und auch schon bezahlt (!!!!!!) hatten. Das Haus Schmittenhof können wir nicht bewerten, aber das Verhalten der Vermieterin lässt uns eine mehr als negative Bewertung verfassen. Während der Fahrt haben wir Frau Wörz dann über unsere Ankunftszeit informiert, sogar mehrmals, weil wir im Stau standen. Als wir dann endlich am Haus Anno Tyrol ankamen, war Frau Wörz allerdings nicht da!. Wenn ich als Vermieter schon so einen Ärger veranstalte, sehe ich doch zu, dass meine Gäste nicht auf mich warten müssen. Letztendlich kam sie dann auch und wollte uns das Haus zeigen. Das Haus ist wirklich sehr schön, gross, ordentlich und sauber!!! Allerdings hat Frau Wörz uns nichts von den beiden Schlafzimmern erzählt. Eines ist das Durchgangszimmer zum anderen. Da war uns letztendlich klar, dass wir in diesem Haus nicht bleiben werden. Wir hatten schliesslich 3 Schlafzimmer gebucht und nicht nur 2 , wobei das eine auch noch ein Durchgangszimmer zum anderesn ist. Diese Buchung war ein absoluter Reinfall.
