Overall one of the better stays in the city. Great food although a bit on the expensive side. The area is neat and clean compared to some other parts, so it’s good to stay with family if you’re here. Plenty of eateries nearby so you won’t go hungry.

Gem in the heart of the city
The staff, their zeal to be of service, welcoming spirit and responsiveness, their unwavering attitude to go above and beyond is a rarity. We stayed twice in a short span of one week. The cleanliness, greenery and welcoming feeling is unparalleled. Truly a gem of a hotel in this city and indeed deserves a 10 * rating. I would like to call out Mayank, the front office manager, who went steps further to accommodate our requests and get us the suite we wanted. He showed us 3 suites to choose from. The entire staff is ready to assist, and you don’t need to follow up again. Housekeeping crew, especially Kunal, needs to be commended for his spirit of service, and following the Oberoi dharma, as he said. Very professional, courteous. Chef Shakti and his team are someone we adore a lot. The chef took personal care of the guests, and always went above and beyond. He remembered our culinary choices and likings, especially of our son, and took great effort and time to suggest and explain different dishes and made custom/special dishes we requested for. The food was delicious, and I am amazed how observant and detail oriented the team is.

Everything about this hotel is exceptional, be it its location, rooms, cleanliness, amenities, food, or staff. This stay is undoubtedly one of the best hotel experiences I had in my life. The 1 km walking trail in the nicely maintained garden, a beautiful, inviting pool at the center court of the hotel, and the decor mesmerized me every day whenever I went across them. The infallible “Namaste” from every staff starting from the security gate to the maintenance, made me feel pampered and secured at home. The water-motifs in the lobby created by the garden staff using fresh flowers from the garden made me stop for few moments every morning to ponder over and think. They created different patterns every day. The food at The Restaurant was delicious and very well-served by the team. Each of them was great to interact with and very proactive in their service. Thanks to the pandemic, I didn’t venture out much and had to depend on the in-room dining. In the process, I tried many items from the menu on different times of the day and was thoroughly satisfied with the taste and flavor. I had booked my stay for a week but had to extend for another week as my connecting international flight from Delhi got canceled. They say everything happens for a reason. So true. I am remembering Ishaan, Gopinath, Anil, Sweety, Pinky, Suraj, Saurav, Keshav and many more while writing this review on my return flight to Chicago. They made Trident Bhubaneswar more lively and my stay memorable.

Great place, great food great service!
Great place to stay! The staff is very friendly and cater to your every need. The place has a great swimming pool and on the weekends they have a fire next to the pool to sit outside and have dinner or enjoy a drink. The restaurant is great with great food and amazing service. Both their breakfast and dinner buffets cater a variety of cuisines. The chef usually makes a round and see if you are doing well and if there is anything that he can specially prepare for you. Would love to stay here again!

Exceptional and very friendly service. Always a "Namaste" from every member of the staff that one passes. Very modern, and exceptionally clean. Exceptional security. Excellent restaurant, with excellent buffet for breakfast and dinner. An all around delightful experience!

They have a lovely garden, and a jogging track of About 1km, but it’s a shame that closes after 6pm as no lights there. Although only 2 floors, an elevator or escalator would help people who can’t take the stairs. They had one service elevator in the back, and thankfully did let me use it once to visit the second floor. The experience at the restaurant was not good either. It’s a good place to stay, but not worth the price. Certainly overrated. My experience at Trident Mumbai made me choose this, but it’s not the same. Next time I would choose different.

The Best Hotel in Bhubaneshwar
After staying at a number of 4 and 5 star hotels in Bhubaneshwar, I can confidently say that the Trident is a class above the rest. There is a 'flow' to the environment that simply works- classic marble and stone architecture where everything has a purpose and a place.It has "good Vastu" if you will. Other places we've stayed seem to have thrown things together haphazardly- not so at the Trident. The rooms are cozy and the staff are courteous (overly courteous sometimes). The pool is lovely and the food safe and yummy. Everyone speaks English to different degrees so you can always get what you want. The breakfast buffet is superb- go ahead, add it to your booking, it's worth it. The only caution I would give is that if you stay long enough to do laundry, please check the prices per item- the bill can get high awfully quickly! Overall, the best hotel experience in Bhubaneshwar.

First Class Service
The service of this hotel from beginning to end was 1st class. Reception restaurant and pool staff were a credit to the hotel. A special mention to the laundry manager who helped with a late night clean of jeans and delivered as promised. A good concept of tipping at end as everyone at this hotel deserves some reward. The management of this hotel are a credit to the company and once again thanks for a great stay.

Stayed at Trident for one night and absolutely enjoyed the experience. The rooms were comfortable and very well done. The hotel property is maintained beautifully and gives an extreme sense of peace and tranquility. The staff was courteous and extremely helpful.
