An alternative way to get here is to walk along a winding trail that leads off from The Mall. The walk takes about 30 minutes. At the summit of the hill are views of the rolling green hills of the Doon Valley in all directions. On a clear day you can spot the snow-capped peaks of the Garhwal Himalayan range. These include the towering Bandarpunch and Gangotri glacier. Pay a small amount to use binoculars to observe the landscapes in closer detail.
