« It is definitely an old house which is okay but can very well use some things to help clean it up. The guest I was with felt it was dirty and she is a realtor. « We wanted to get away from the heat and we found a great spot for that at Glady Hideaway. Totally shaded and much cooler than out in the sun. We also like to get away from hustle and bustle when we vacation. Glady Hideaway is perfect for that. Small town Elkins nearby had everything we needed: grocery store, gas station, brewery (Big Timber Brewing $5 draft beer!), and coffee shop (Tip Top). « Comfortable room. Close to the river. Beds were softer than we would have preferred but other than that it was a great stay. »

« Spotless, cozy cabin with everything you needed. Fire pit, Grill, covered hot tub, store, laundry, picnic table all within steps of the cabin. Super quiet at night with nothing but the beautiful sound of the river just a stone’s throw away. The windowed porch at the entrance was very convenient as well. And whatever you needed that you didn’t have, the town of Elkins was just up the road less than 15 minutes away while still giving you the enjoyment of a remote river canyon. Can’t say enough...

« Great place to stay with a bigger group or groups needing room. The location is in a great spot right next to the college and near everything. We came in an enjoyed the place and had room for our college kids come to dinner and hang during the evening. The living space will surprise the heck out of you . « I made reservations via Expedia. When I arrived there (about 6 pm ) the door was locked tight. Called them and got a recording which said to leave a message. I did so with no response. There was a building behind the house which appeared to be a very rundown motel building. I found out that the owner of the main house and I presume the rundown “motel” lived-right next door. I went there and the owner of the motel told me that the person who checks in people had left for the day. She made no...
