Everything was going great. My wife and I stayed for 10 nights unfortunately on the 8th night we decided to use my in-law’s car and nobody from the hotel informed us we couldn’t park in front of the hotel (even though I asked day one where could I park) the answer was we could park anywhere. The car was towed costing us $150 plus a $60 Uber ride. The dissatisfaction of this is if the fact that front desk just said all you need is piece of paper that allowed us to park in an area. Aside from this the hotel was great loved my room and location was not disappointing we had food, shopping and bank in walking distance

Comfortable but sterile feeling. Most distressing was their attempt to add $18 overnight parking fee at check in for parking in “our garage”. Or parking free 5 minute walk away. This looked a bit like extortion to me. I made some “noise” and they waived the fee to allow me to park in any 15 minute parking spot (but not in their garage). I don’t trust these people and would not recommend the hotel or stay there again.

Disappointing with hidden charges
Very disappointing with hidden costs. The advertisement for this hotel on Hotels.com website makes it look much more upscale than it is. Although it does explain there are parking fees it doesn't explain parking is in a structure on the other side of a shopping mall lot, without direct entry into the hotel. Because it was a snowy, freezing weekend this was problematic. But most alarming was to be hit (upon check-in) with a $75 pet fee. Which was NOT stated on Hotels.com website; hotel is listed as Pet Friendly without provisos. The restaurant, which they boast about was CLOSED all weekend. Only food for sale was grab-and-go snackfood/junkfood. To add insult to injury, they actually charged for coffee and tea. $4 for one teabag. Seriously. They seem understaffed; only one person at the front desk, no porter help provided. Took them over an hour to clean up a mess in the elevator. This was way below expectation and reputation of this prestigious hotel chain.

Good location.
We only stayed one night at this hotel and while it looks modern and is clean, it is obviously a refurbished older building. The window was really drafty and we could feel air coming under the door as well. Very basic but not bad. It is very well located for anything in Rockville and walking distance to several restaurants and bars.

I was allowed to check in early , that was a plus. Breakfast was rather basic. House keeping not so great, beddings weren’t changed throughout the 3 nights and the bed was poorly made. I was on level 3 and there was a strong sound outside the room from the hotel machines/equipment between midnight and dawn. Great front desk help.

Heating/cooling system had dirty air filters and coffee maker did not work. Both issues were reported to the front desk staff. See pictures below of air filter before and after I cleaned them with the shower head.
