A modern art lover's ideal. A night filled with creativity. High priced but worth it.

MUST STAY if you're art fan!

Posted 26-Jan-2016 on Hotels
If you're an art fan and you're visiting specifically to see MONA, you'll definitely enjoy your stay here. The room is very much like a high quality guesthouse with an amazing view over River Derwent. Since there are only 8 houses on site, everything feels very private. Rooms are on the modern side but has a cozy and comfortable feel to it. Everything is clean and the upkeep is done very well. Really good quality room service food and very good service all around! It's definitely more exciting than any hotels in Hobart.

Great views and unique experience

Posted 25-Nov-2015 on Hotels
We stayed in the Charles a 2-story, 2 bedroom unit with a huge deck and expansive views of the water. Was also a great experience to spend time on the hotel grounds and do the sunset sequence. The unit comes with amenities like a real artwork and lots of drink options in the kitchen

Amazing setting, stunning accommodation.

Pros: The attention to detail of the staff and the quirkiness off the amenities.
Cons: The menu at the restaurant. Something to put your shampoo, face cleanser etc on in the shower.
Location: You could really just stay within MONA and spend 2 days in the gallery, eat at the restaurant and nibble and drink at the wine bar, enjoy the winery!
We stayed in the Brett Pavillion and the staff, accommodation and inclusions couldn't be better. The Source (restaurant) could do with a better menu but other than that our stay was exceptional! Exceed my high expectations.

An experience like nothing else!

Wow, staying at mona was such an amazing experience. We stayed in the Walter pavilion and it was stunning. The 2 bedroom pavilions are a great way of experiencing mona with friends and keeping the cost per head down if you go with another couple. Plus it includes entry to the museum and breakfast and tours of the winery etc.
