Great Hotel with a Couple Glitches
I have stayed here before and it's a terrific hotel. We were a bit disappointed that the rooms were not cleaned until later in the afternoon; we had gone out in the morning and expected the rooms to have been serviced by 3PM but they were not; the second time this happened we had put the sign on the room asking for service. We also were not given the chocolates and turn down service two out of the four nights we stayed there; these are small things, but it is often the small things that distinguish one great hotel from another. The design of the bathroom is such that the hooks on the walls really do not accommodate towels; they just slip down onto the floor. Despite these small peccadillos, this is an excellent hotel in a great location. Great WI-FI and very helpful staf..

I liked everything but I was sad to hear that it is being changed to a Marriot. This Sofitel has a very boutique-style with very helpful staff.

Good location for all the major tourist areas. Minor issue is perhaps the lack of a residents bar area, there is a very small lounge area but I think a small bar to relax in after a busy day would be beneficial.

Great location. The room is a bit small.very comfortable but it could have been bigger. The breakfast is pricey- you could dine around the corner for fraction of the price.

Good
Very close to Christmas market, nice and decent hotel, small one though. The breakfast was not as good as I expected but still worth for a stay in the hotel. Nice and friendly staff, good gym room.

Great hotel in a great location.
Great location, right opposite one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Berlin. The staff were lovely the standard room is very small and not advisable to book if you need a bit more space. However the Luxury room is great and well worth it - the bed is a little uncomfortable because it’s so soft but not enough to disturb sleep.

Great location. Easy to access many of Berlin's top attractions. Simple hotel, with no restaurant amenities. No concierge. Nice rooms, but plugs are in awkward locations. You have to get on the floor to plug in something by your bedside.

Things didn’t work
My stay was below expectation: first night the air conditioning did not work when outside temperature was almost 30 degrees. The TV had no connection. It was fixed the next day but the following morning did not work again. That morning also there was no cold water in the middle of my shower. The room is quite small.

Loved it.
Totally enjoyed our stay. The hotel was everything we hoped for and the staff were absolutely wonderful being so friendly and helpful (thank you, Michelle). Next time would ask for a room overlooking Charlottenstraße rather than Französische Straße, Would happily go back any time!

Fantastic staff, great location and quite possibly the most comfortable bed ever! Food was incredible too and they did some of the dishes (they flambéd Catalonian cream) at the table for some guests so I’m sure if you ask they will do it for you too

Great location, However for the price paid hotel is not the cleanness and the staff were very noisy from 6am onward i was on the 3rd floor and the service room was the room beside me i could clearly hear the staff talking loudly, i also got the lux room however i thought it was a bear minimum room

Rooms are small. Inside rooms facing the 'garden' are dark. Unlike many hotels of this caliber there is no coffeemaker. On the other hand, the breakfast is incredible.

Good location. Lots of restaurants in the area. Easy access to U Bahn Restaurant staff indifferent to someone just wanting a drink. Would not let you sit at a table and Then took ages to be served even with someone cleaning glasses in bar area. Room was small but clean and functional

Berlin visit.
A very smart hotel in an excellent location close to many attractions and subway station. The room was very clean and comfortable. The only grumble is that it did not have tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
