This is a 2.5 star hotel at best. Rooms were clean but dated with very stained carpets. Wifi was unreliable. Door uses a key and requires you to lock the door once inside the room as well. I prepared laundry and left it in my room. Housekeeper did not take it. I tried to give it to her and she refused. Called the front desk and they said to leave it in the room. It still was not picked up so I called the front desk again. Was finally instructed to bring it down to the front desk. They did not inform me or deliver the laundry once it was ready. I had to go ask. This is really poor service. The external laundry company they use stretched out my shirt. Do not stay at this hotel for business. If you are looking for a cheap vacation hotel--it is fine.

No one cares the curtains dont keep your room dark
Centeral so very noisy... matreass is totaly used but the main problem was the light... you wake up feeling there is a loom of light right at your face... the "thick" curtains arent really thick to make your room dark and due to the direction of the building the light is really hard to bare. Woke up at dawn and couldnt sleep

This property is in a great location! We trained in from Copenhagen and flew out of the airport. Because this hotel is so close to the train station, both trips were super easy. So many GOOD cafés within feet of the hotel and access to shopping & sightseeing is excellent. Our room was quiet and clean!

Staff were friendly. Elevator has long term repair issues and is not accessible from the ground floor. You must walk up to 1st floor then take elevator from there. Elevator is also very slow and there is no option to go up the stairs. With that in mind, the place was fine.

The hotel is right in the middle of a busy part of Charlottenburg, so if you aren’t into city sounds this place won’t be for you. We n ended something quick and cheap and exactly that but more. The hotel wasn’t dirty or divey and there is a massive variety of food in the area.

This hotel is far from being 4 stars, I would say 2 star.It is an old hotel with everything old, a key chain weight almost half kg :) Reception on the 7 floors, my room was on the 3rd floor, I had to take the different elevator, the name of the different hotel appeared on the door of elevator with 3 stars not 4 stars. Waited a long time for the elevator, I decided to take the stairs, then I realized i locked myself out, I was not able to get back, so I decided to go up to 7 floors to the reception. I was not able to get to the hotel reception even on the 7 floors, so I walked to the ground floor, the door was open, I took the elevator to the 7 floor where was the reception. When I asked why it is so complicated, they told me, for security reasons.In my reservation, I requested 2 separate beds, when checked in, I realized it was one bed. The bath door had mold. I do not recommend this hotel, it is definitely not 4 star. The staff was not professional, any of my suggestions were met with confrontations. I'm a frequent traveler, and I'm quite lazy to leave reviews, very rarely I do. THIS ONE, I HAD TO- SO NOBODY FALL INTO THE TRAP

Service was good. The facility wasn't too nice - had to take two elevators to get to my room. I could hear noises from the street nonstop. Conveniently located next to U-bahn and S-bahn

Amazing roof terrace, perfect place to watch the New Year fireworks, which is exactly why I chose it. Rooms and bathrooms are very spacious if slightly old fashioned but nice and clean. There is a strange system of having to go to the top floor to get your key from reception every time but you get used to it. I really enjoyed my stay and the only downside was that the heating in the whole hotel was boiling hot. I slept with all the windows open even in Dec/Jan despite turning down everything as much as I could in room. Location is great right next to the metro and loads of shops and is good value for money.

Would stay again.
Lovely room, pleasant staff and hotel in a good area with nice bars and restaurants. 2 minutes to U Bahn and S Bahn. Only criticism was there was not tea and coffee making facilities in one of the 2 rooms we booked.

We had been allocated double rooms instead of twins and that couldn’t be resolved till next day which was a bit annoying . Very limited menu choices in the evening . Very good breakfast choices but not very good service at breakfast time .

Ok, but, as a regular, monthly Berlin visitor, and my first time here at this hotel, I felt this was a bit old fashioned and not great value for money. A funny lift system meant that anytime you left you room to go out you had to go UP first to the 7th floor, and change lifts to go DOWN. The staff however, were super nice and friendly and helpful.

It was so hot it was ridiculous even with the windows open and fan going full blast. The room's mini fridge didn't work at all, which I ended up throwing out some ham and cheese the second day because it was room temp and I didn't want a case of food poisoning. There is a doorbell button that must be pushed to get into the unmarked glass door to the hotel. Reception is on the 7th floor next to the bar and restaurant. A two elevator system is required to get to the actual room, which took some getting use to. The "queen" size bed was two twin beds pushed together and falling between the two beds at 2 am was something I never got use to. The decor is dated and was probably in style back in the 80's, but it's showing it's age now. I was in a No Smoking room, but there was a cigarette machine in the hall just outside my room and the smell of cigarette smoke was very apparent. Hotel Domicil still uses actual metal keys, which have to be turned into the 7th floor reception desk and picked up each time the hotel was exited or entered. That felt very arcachoic in this age of hotel key cards. The hotel is right next to the subway station and the location is great if you can tolerate the other things.

The hotel is lovely. The staff are very good.
I was allowed to check in earlier which was very nice. The staff here are very helpful. It is out of city a bit but easily accessible.

Excellent hotel. Great staff and a lovely big room
The Domicil Berlin is a lovely hotel. Nice position as it has an underground station and bus stop directly outside and Charlottenburg main station a 2 minute walk away so very easy access to the city. The hotel staff were excellent and the room was huge. The Domicil is highly recommended for a stay in Berlin.

Good location. Clean small hotel. At night there was a lot of noise from something that i couldnt figure it out. But managebale. I thought (may be my mistake) free breakfast but i found it cost 17 euro per person. Paid 34 for 2 breakfast. Outrageously expensive

Fraudulent reservation system! Don't allow checkin
I couldn't check in because the reception was closed. Nobody called me before leaving reception at midnight despite having my mobile phone. The hotels.com confirmation email has no instructions about checkin lo It time. I ended up paying lots of money looking desperately at 3am for an alternative hotel with 2 rooms available. I suspect they re sold my room that's why didn't call me to check my estimated arrival time
