The neighborhood is beautifully situated by the coast, with an authentic Bergen atmosphere marked by narrow, cobblestone streets and many well-preserved buildings. Here, you can wander through charming side streets, discover unique shops and cozy cafes, and explore historic landmarks that give the area its own special charm. The Space: Nykirke Allmenningen is only a 4-minute walk from Gågaten, Bergen’s oldest pedestrian street, filled with history and charm. Here, you’ll find around 50 shops, restaurants, and experiences. Stretching 400 meters, the street is part of the old Strandgaten, rebuilt after the 1916 city fire and transformed into a pedestrian street in 1971.
