Noisy nights!

Posted 9-Apr-2017
Pros: Nice position in a pleasant part of the city near shops and restaurants.
Cons: Close the pub earlier & don't allow people to sit outside as the noise carries up to the bedrooms. The breakfast consisted of only a sandwich bag.
Location: Good supermarket right across the road and wonderful bakery on the next corner for sandwiches, coffee etc.
I had particularly asked for a quiet room, but the one we got was probably the noisiest one in the hotel as it was right above the bar. The laughing, shouting and drunken carousing went on until 3 or 4 am and we got very little sleep.

Nice Hotel in Bergen town

Posted 30-Mar-2017
Pros: Close to Central Train Station, and bus stop to Airport. Packed breakfast is provided.
Location: Take the tour of "Norway in a nutshell" which begins and ends at the nearby Central Train Station.
This hotel is close to the Central Train Station. Thus it is a walking distance away for us to take the tour of "Norway in a nutshell" which starts and ends at the Central Train Station. The hotel provided a place for us to leave luggage during our tour since we have to leave early at 6.30 am, and came back at 7.30pm

The hotel is simple but perfect if you are traveling on a budget. Nice hot shower and a little complimentary breakfast included :) Hotel staff were very friendly too

Pleasant and quiet hotel

Posted 23-Feb-2017
Pros: Central location-easy to find, helpful and friendly staff. Nice, fair sized and quiet room and coffee sold downstairs for about £1.50.
Cons: For the price, it did the job fine.
Location: Centrally located and easy to find with all attractions in walking distance
Had my doubts about this hotel after reading many of the reviews and was really surprised to find a quiet, clean and warm room located on the top floor of the hotel. It's true, there is a bar at the bottom but on the Monday and Tuesday nights we stopped it was dead quiet and calm. Nice bathroom with clean shower and under floor heating, bed was 2 singles pushed together, room was clean enough and there was a TV but it only had 1 channel and that was in Norwegian. The breakfast was more like a packed lunch with a ham, cheese salad sandwich and a bottle of squash. We took it on our day trips out and chose to have breakfast in one of the local cafes.

Will not stay long in the hotel

Was rather disappointed at the breakfast. A sandwich and a bottle of orange juice. Room was spacious though. Close enough to city centre. Staff was not very friendly and helpful.

Rooms were ok, pretty old though but the hallway floor could be cleaner. Reception and other common areas don't seem important to the manegement obviously. The staff was very kind and helpfull and the location was excellent. You get breakfast at your dooor so that is kind of a room service and I for one like it. For that price it'a a good place.

nothing about this hotel is great

Posted 14-Nov-2016
Pros: The one night clerk we had was exceptionally nice and helped us with a lot of great information.
Cons: everything
Location: Train station/bus station goes all over, but a walk to get there. The fish market and bryggen were a distance but a great area.
It is not really close to anything. Our first room smelled so much like smoke that we needed to request another one. We had to walk through a bar to get to our room. The room itself was mediocre. No real furniture or desks or anything. No closet. Breakfast was left on our door about 5 am and was a sack with a sandwich (we gave ours to homeless people) and some orange soda. We ate peanut butter sandwiches which were better. Spend a few more dollars and get a nicer room closer to the train or the fish market but not this one.

Cheap, centrally located poor hotel.

Posted 7-Nov-2016 on Hotels
So, a cheap hotel, centrally located with poor rooms, poor standards and a lot of problems. Decent enough if you're barely at the hotel at all, but definitely not a place to hang out or be at.

What a joke

Posted 31-Oct-2016 on Hotels
Why would you sell a room wen you can't sleep. Walking in to the hotel I had to walk through 2 piles of vomit. Getting in to the hotel the reception applied for the noise the whole room was vibrateing because of the music it stopped at 3am

The worst hotel experience I've ever had

Posted 5-Oct-2016
The location is horrible. There is partying going on until 4 AM that is so noisy it's hard to sleep. The staff (2 of 3) were rude and not willing to be of service. The bathroom was so small that you couldn't shower and have someone sit on the toilet at the same time. When showering the entire bathroom floor is soaked....by design. There were no extras that are common. The "light continental breakfast" was a joke: a piece of ham and cheese between 2 slices of bread with imitation juice. The exact same thing every day; left hanging on your doorknob.
