The host responded quickly when we had a question. The living room furniture was very comfortable and cozy in front of the fireplace! The only reasons one star was deducted were that the non-king beds were not particularly comfortable (very firm spring mattresses), and the sulfur smell from the water/bathrooms was pretty strong after showers. Otherwise, it was an idyllic weekend in peaceful surroundings. The owner was easy to communicate with and was very friendly and offered recommendations on things do to in the area. Overall the home was clean but it is in need of a dusting and had lots of cob webs but that didn’t really bother us. It was a bit strange that we had to bring our own sheets and pillow cases, but we were not made aware of this until after booking our stay. The upstairs bathroom had an oder like the septic fumes were maybe leaking in maybe the plumbing needs a P trap or something but I didn’t investigate that. Every year a group of five of us come to this area for our annual girls trip! It is safe to say that we have finally found our favorite place! The owners are very responsive, friendly, and welcoming. The check in process was super easy. The kitchen, and home, had everything we needed! We spent some well needed time on the deck enjoying the sunshine, amazing view and the beautiful evening sky. The house is very cozy and close to Front Royal and several local attractions! The responsiveness of the owners and cleanliness of the home is top notch!
