Located on 3.5 acres in the country within 10 minutes of Interestate 57\. Conveniently located within 15 minutes of Rend Lake Resort and golfing. 10 minutes from the town of Benton and 3 minutes from Benton golf course. This spacious house comfortably sleeps 9\. Cook you and your family a lovely meal in the fully equipped kitchen, relax in our spacious living rooms and enjoy a game with your buddies, then drop into our luxuriously soft beds and enjoy a comfy night of sleep! And when you arise, make yourself a cup of coffee and sit on our large deck or patio and enjoy the wild life. Toast some marshmallows over the fire pit while watching the birds in the trees around the house, or the white tail deer in the field across the road. And if it’s your lucky moment, you may even see a huge whitetail buck! The red foxes are even known to run in the area! And if you feel like having a family outing... take about an hour and half drive to Sikeston Missouri and enjoy a meal at Lamberts ( Home of the Thrown Rolls) or take an outing to St. Louis Missouri and visit the Arch or enjoy several hours at the Magic House ( hands on children museum) Or even within 10 minutes of Whitetail Acres, you can enjoy antique stores or the old jail house museum. There was plenty of space and the floor plan was great to allow everyone their own space as needed. We have rented many houses, condos, cabins and this was the first to have some food items on hand in case we needed it. The only thing I would suggest is to bring any plastic bowls with lids that you might need. With 7 of us, we did need them. However, Dollar General isn’t far and it is cheap. The host was very friendly and responsive, but the property was not what we expected. The subfloors were so uneven and soft in some places that it was a trip hazard for my elderly father-in-law. There was a large & tall cabinet in the bathroom that was not secured to the floor/wall and was so wobbly (from the uneven floors) that it was a safety concern for my young child. I would've appreciated privacy curtains on the windows in the bathrooms, but that just may be a personal preference. The location of the property was quiet and secluded, but did not feel particularly safe. We are from out of state and were not familiar with the area, but we had a different kind of country setting in mind. We arrived late in the evening after 12 hours on the road, we were so exhausted and tired when we arrived and it was so late that we decided to stay the night, otherwise we would've left soon as we arrived. This seems like a popular property with a lot of happy guests, but this just was not what we expected. I should note that the host was fair with us when handling our grievances and it was clear to me that they really care. ##### Andrea P.
