Simple, clean and cozy. Owner was very helpful with my late check-in. Quiet location, dark skies and beautiful starlight. Maybe that is how they got their name!

Room and building was in poor condition. Non smoking room smells like cigarettes. Broken floor tiles, heat shrouds etc. Entire facility probably not refurbished since the 70’s

Staff not very welcoming and to get water warm for shower was very difficult gets to hot or to cold hard to adjust it.

Horrible roadside motel, old, outdated and just rundown. Hot water for shower would not stay regulated and it took 2 hours for the heat to kick on for a cold morning.

The beds were comfortable and the room sufficient for one night. However, whoever cleaned the room prior to our arrival forgot to put clean bath matt in the room. It was not a place i would return in the future. I will spend a little more to receive higher quality facilities.

Not really a place to relax. Nasty
This place needs health inspections, mold on insests and showe/tub. Electricity in by sink didn't work very, very, very outdated, our first room we changed from had mildew so bad 10 mins, and i had to be moved to 2nd room. #6. #14 1 extection cord had several added plugs to it for everything tv didnt work.

I was a little nervous about staying here based on the pics online, but it was clean and the bed was super comfortable. It was all we needed for a one night stay in the area. Would definitely stay here again! The owners/ people working there were very nice as well.

Clean rooms at a Fair Price
This is a mid-century facility in a charming and historic town. Our room was clean, warm and quiet. I appreciated being able to park directly in front of our room; there were no miles of corridors to drag luggage here. The continental breakfast was adequate and the hosts were helpful. This was a good value for the price.

Loving couple
I and my boyfriend only stayed one night. The room was clean and warm and the basic supplies were there and it had a hair dryer for guest to usebut we did not use it. It had adequate hot water to shower with comfertable temps. My only real complaint was that there was noise of water running through the pipes off and on during the entire time we were there. At one point it was drowning out the sound of the tv show we were watching. The sound of water during the night and early morning had me running to the bathroom every 10 minutes or so. Other than that our stay was pleasent. There was bagels and muffens to eat as well as some fresh fruit and danish and mini chocalate donuts for breakfast. They also had cornflakes or cherios to chose from and it was a help yourself setup but the staff was right there to help if you could not find what you were looking for. Of corse they had coffee,tea and hot chocolate as well as oj. I would give them a rating of 7to8 on a scale of 1 to 10 ten being the best.

Thanks for the review! The heat is controlled by a thermostat in the room. The A/C units are turned off once it becomes cold to save energy.

Outdated property with no effort to update or maintain and an adjacent abandoned building make for not the nicest curb appeal. Lobby/breakfast area has an odd smell. Room itself was clean and quiet.

Great getaway

Nice but run-down
Clean but very battered property, peeling paint, Desk drawer broken, wobbly chairs. Driveway unkempt, weeds. Just shabby. Morning breakfast just sandwich bread, cheap pastries, bananas and mealy cold storage apples —@ height of apple season in Vermont! Could do a lot better with some freshening up & a paint job, as it’s well situated.

Place was old but comfortable and very clean. Cont. breakfast was good, fresh fruit w/the normal cereal, toast, muffins and bagels. Juice not watered down as I have found in other cont. breakfast.
