Bendalong is a 30 minute drive to Ulladulla, 25 to Mollymook and 20 to Milton where you will find all the supplies for your holiday. At Manyana there are also tennis and basketball courts, skate park and soccer field but you need to bring your own equipment. Enjoy a holiday like you remember them from your childhood at this original cottage. Large undercover BBQ area with outdoor tables and chairs, wall mounted TV to watch the footy and slow combustion fire (only one bag supplied of firewood) The two bedrooms in the main house have a queen and two double beds along with the kitchen and bathroom which has undergone a recent update. Second toilet in main house also. An additional two bedrooms with tvs, have a queen bed in each and these are accessed by walking across the undercover entertaining area which is great on those wet and well as hot summer days. Bed linen and towels provided for bookings from 24.4.24. Laundry is also in one of rooms with a washing machine. Plenty of parking for the boat off road. Outdoor shower hot and cold water. Strictly no smoking inside Pet allowed outside only. Fully fenced yard and undercover area. No WiFi. This was the last house available this Xmas, & we desperately needed a break, so we grabbed it. We've been coming to Bendalong for years, and know our way around the village, and despite some rainy weather it was good to be back. But it's the poor weather operation of this house that really challenges you - the living room is outdoors. Which in these COVID times was oddly an upside, but in terms of comfort, especially in the cool and rain, it was a big downside. A few other details we struggled with. The additional bedrooms are old covered old sheds outside, and have water coming up through the concrete floor - not ideal. Also, the cutlery, plates, glasses and utensils were all either old, cheap, an odd assortment or missing. Nothing a $100 at IKEA could have fixed - if only. Ceiling fans would have been another inexpensive added touch that would improve comfort. The kitchen is very basic, and is in desperate need of more bench space and dishwasher. This could be improved by a simple Island Bench that could easily first with the small timber dining table. Lucky we bought out own fold-up table to help make it more functional. As an architect I saw so much potential in this house - especially the challenging idea of an outdoor room with the fireplace and BBQ. But this potential needs to be realised better than it has been. While we booked initially for convenience, it quickly became clear that we had hit on the perfect beach house! The large, covered-over outdoor area essentially acted as a living room completely with fireplace and outdoor TV. We were close to the beach (we were lucky enough to see a handful of manta rays cruising around one morning), across the road from the shop (with some truly delicious coffees) and the fenced in yard was brilliant for the dogs.
