There is a local grocery store just two blocks away and a really good coffee shop. There are also a couple of breakfast and lunch spots in the same place. We were able to walk to Bend Brewing easily. Old Town isn't far either. Very nice!The layout of the house is ok. The "living room" area is tight, but we didn't really spend time there anyway. The futon isn't great. We didn't watch any tv so we didn't need to spend any time on it, but this isn't a great piece of furniture. We used the small table in there a couple of times. The kitchen had the items we needed, mainly a coffee maker and fridge. We weren't cooking while we were there, but we did have some beer, water and stuff to make sammiches that we kept in the fridge. We also bought some coffee and used the pot each morning. We also went to the coffee spot two minutes away one morning. We like coffee. There was a small incident across the street one night around 11pm and the police showed up. They were pretty quiet. The guy they were dealing with, was not as quiet and screamed some expletives and other things at them. Once he was placed in a car things got quiet. Police handled it very well it seems. We didn't feel unsafe at all. This was an isolated incident and the guy wasn't threatening anyone, just making a lot of noise. ##### Bryan F.
