This spot was perfect for the summer as it’s walking distance to anything you might need in town and the river. Good restaurants around there and breweries. My wife and I are avid runners and the Deschutes River trail is right there that winds you along the river for awesome scenery. House was well kept and the neighborhood is quiet which is great. We liked this property but there wasn’t much room in the den turned bedroom and no closet. That same room got very hot at night (summer) even with a fan and the door open. There are clear glass windows above the bedroom doors so if someone is up in the living room or kitchen, the light shines through those windows into the bedroom. Most of the upper cabinets in the kitchen required a stool (provided) in order to reach the items. They were not at a standard height. There are 3 king bedrooms all about the same size. One is listed as a den since it has no closet. The other 2 have small closets. The kitchen was stocked with just enough pans to cook breakfasts. There are no large pans if you are cooking for a crowd. The kitchen and bath must have been designed for a very tall person, as even at 5' 10" the upper cabinets are hard to reach. The dishwasher is mounted so that it tilts forward, so the bottom tray will slide to the floor if much is in there. It needs to be adjusted slightly. The house is in a great location-- walkable to everything downtown. It has great light and lots of windows. Lots of people walking by, so the shades have to be drawn for any privacy. The house itself is beautiful. Only one concern: there is just 1 split to heat/cool the whole house. It was fine for us (we were just 1 couple) but I'm imagining if you are using more than 1 bedroom and need to close the door at night-- you won't have any heat or cooling. This wasn't a problem for us, but I can imagine this will come up for some people especially in the winter. Overall we were really pleased with our stay and would highly recommend. ##### Katherine D.
