An old motel that’s dated and has a lot of longer term tenants. The price was reasonable for a clean comfortable bed to sleep in. Plenty of clean hot water in the fairly small shower as well. Room was clean and staff was friendly.

For $85.00 a night, I, at the very least, would think we could stay somewhere that didn’t stink to high heaven. The room looked like it was on the verge of falling down completely. It was so bad I didn’t even want to take a shower, step on the floor or even touch anything. We got exactly 2 towels that were the size of a kitchen towel. I would never stay here again even if it was cheap which it was not

It’s really old and run down! It was clean but definitely needed new furniture, blinds, and the shower was so scary that I did without- I had a lower level room and felt unsafe

Never recommend Bayside again. It was so rundown that we nearly left, but it was late at night and we were exhausted. The courtyard was in shambles and a hazard to anyone walking into their room. The bathroom was dirty, towels thin and rough. Thins walls, other guests sitting right outside our door chatting until after midnight and no ice to be found. The website photos show a rather charming motel. Not true. A prison cell would be more comfortable.

Very adequate!
This is not the nicest place that you will ever stay in but it is clean, roomy, comfortable, well equipped reasonable. I have no complaints and would stay here again if the need should arise.

Overall great! Will use again
Good location along the coast, and just a short walk to the Peace Arch border. Area is quiet and calm. Staff were extremely friendly (even when I called at a very inconvenient time). Checking in and out was a breeze. The room and was well stocked. The linens were also clean and debris-free. Overall a very pleasant experience, and will definitely stay here if I visit Blaine again.

Old building but very clean. King bed was very comfortable and the sheets were the softest! Non-Slip Mat in tub was a nice saftey feature. Worth the money!

It is an old building and it shows. But, they allow pets which is what we needed for our bunny. Although they did up their pet fee $5 from last month when we stayed. You would never know we had a pet in there, we clean up after ourselves.

Just okay.
It’s an old motel, struggling to stay open through the pandemic. Everything works, but lots of visible repairs, which is okay. Quiet and safe neighborhood with friendly and helpful people on the street. Expensive dog fee, $40. Easy walk to the downtown area.

Maybe not again.
The grounds needed some help. Reminded us of trips to Mexico-cheap motels in Mex or south central LA. But room was clean. There was a boarded up door to where we don’t know? Old maybe original everything in room.

This place is old as is everything in it, definitely nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. They are pet friendly which is great! But they could get some towels that are bigger, the ones they have are kid size. The area is fantastic and within a short 10 min walk there are any number of places to eat.
