The Skyloft on West Lake is a waterfront property beside Wellington, near the Sandbanks provincial park, Bloomfield and amazing Prince Edward County artists, wineries and restaurants ! You’ll love the views, the vaulted ceilings, the convenient location and the privacy. The Skyloft is for couples and small groups. You can use the firepit, bbq, paddle boat, kayaks, and canoe. Bikes on request. Use of the boat launch and the Skyloft dock is included. The Skyloft dock is float-plane capable.
The Skyloft entrance is on a second story private deck accessed from an outside staircase. The private deck has patio furniture and an outside eating area with a view of West Lake. When you enter the Skyloft, the bedroom and bathroom are on that level and upstairs you will find the kitchen, living room, dining area, and balcony with a view over West Lake, the Sandbanks and the Lake Ontario South to the lights on U.S. of A. side of the lake.
To access the Skyloft, you have a staircase to the Skyloft 2nd-floor deck, interior space on the 2nd floor and the entire 3rd floor of the house - all private. Outside, you have a private dock on the channel leading to West Lake. You can launch the kayaks, paddleboat or canoe from there. It is suitable for docking a powerboat or a float plane. The is also a fire pit (and a limited supply of wood), a picnic table and you have lounging-friendly deck furniture on your private deck. The 3rd floor also has a private balcony which gets sun all day and sunsets.
The local area of Wellington in Prince Edward County is well known for the Drake Devonshire and Soup Opera restaurants, the Stache-on-Main piano bar, The Main Street Gallery and the many artist studios and local wineries. It has a grocery store, a pharmacy, a liquor store, a bank, a Tim Horton's - and one stoplight! The Skyloft on West Lake is a 4 minute drive (30 minute walk) East of Wellington.
To get around, the Bloomfield Bike company will rent bikes and drop them off and pick them up from the Skyloft. Wellington has a summer bus service. The information is on the Discover Wellington web site. There is also a bus service from Wellington to the Hayloft dancehall. The information is on the Hayloft Dance Hall web site. Some googling will reveal local wine tour transportation services that can pick you up and drop you off at the Skyloft on West Lake. The Skyloft has a Nespresso machine and we'll provide some coffee caps. If you need more, just ask. There is a Tim Horton's within 2 min in Wellington if you don't want to make breakfast.
