The registration lady was most helpful. Because of mobility issues, she was able to do a bit of shuffling to change our room from second floor to a room at ground level. This was most appreciated by us

We spent 1 night mid October weekend *Saturday (. The room smelled musky, there was human hair in the bathtub *not our). Beds were well dine, comfortable. The redort must be nice during summer especially if u like the "time has stopped in the 60s" feel. But in off season the price of $350 per night is way too steep for a place like this

Rooms need some updating for sure, but the hotel is clean and we can't say enough wonderful things about the staff. Incredibly kind and helpful. We stayed for the Prince Edward County Gran Fondo (which they host) and it was very convenient to stay on site. Thank you!

The staff is nice but the property is aging with strong smell. Shower heads need to be changed definitely, not only the room i stayed made noise all the way, even i could hear others when it was in use.

The resort needs a refresh and update . The pool is closed the grounds are not that well kept. The tennis courts had weeds growing on the courts. The room was clean but very dated and had an extremely noisy air conditioning unit. But the most problematic was the request for a credit card incase of damages incurred to the room which was fine except they charged my credit card . When I enquired as to why my credit card was charged the hotel management said this was standard and I will see a credit in the few days . It had been two days and I am still waiting . I have never experienced a hotel charging my credit card ahead of time. Its customary to have it as a hold / safe guard against damages. I am still waiting for my credit . This not acceptable and I will not be staying at this property again .

Beautiful stay
The room was quite beautiful and the location was gorgeous. The beach was small but lovely. The only complaint would be the onsite restaurant. The wait to be noticed at the entrance was exceedingly long. We waited for 10 minutes before leaving. We tried again, this time with a reservation and only waited 5 minutes until someone noticed we were there. We were shown to our table and then forgotten about. Another couple got tired of waiting so went to the bar to order their drinks. We were told the restaurant was busy that night (looked half-full) due to two parties. I would have rather they closed "for a special event" instead of having us waste time there. Went back to our room to order food to discover nobody delivered to the resort. Also, if i had one wish it would be the resort had a breakfast available every day so we would not have to drive into town. (Not a complaint, just a wish).

First place they tried to put me in was about the size of a closet I asked to be moved and they did. Second place was bigger but dirty. Spiders everywhere, someone peeled their nail polish off and it was in the floor as well as left over toiletries from last resident. I was not thrilled, would not go back there and don’t recommend whatsoever. The restaurant food was horrible, severely understaffed. I had a very nice kitchen guy serve me. I tipped him above and beyond.

It's an old hotel, but clean, with a private beach and overseeing patio, and right next to Sandbanks beaches. So, location, location, location. That's worth paying a 5 star price for a 3 star motel.

Nice clean and room. New floors and great, quiet AC. Fridge, microwave and jacuzzi. Didn’t have a chance to use but looked clean. If you are going to the Hayloft Dance Hall, this place is great because there’s a free bus that takes you to the venue and back for free! Check in was very friendly and restaurant decent for a quick bite. Nothing fancy but great service. If I am back in the area, will definitely stay here.

Not worth the price if staying at the Inn. Not maintained and extremely poor layout of the room, microwave and TV are so so old. On a positive not, their is so much room for improvement if they would target one room at a time.

Nice stay !
Our room was comfortable and clean. Did not try the indoor jacuzzi!! The resort beach was clean and the site restaurant was good. Quiet room except for the frogs from the pond outside....! But great to have nature nearby and so close to Sandbanks park.

We just stayed for a 1-night stop-over. Very nice, clean modern room in an older building, parking right at door to room, lovely breakfast over-looking gorgeous beach and dunes. I appreciated that the AC was silent and had remote to control temperature. Staff very friendly, fast check-in and out. Restaurant provided GF options at breakfast.

Huge potential
This is our 3rd time visiting Sandbanks in the last 6 years and this was our favorite location so far. First the things we loved. The location of the resort is amazing. Close to Outlet beach and less than 10 minutes from Picton. We loved the private beach....reason enough to stay here. Beds were super comfortable. No complaints there. And the staff were very friendly. Housekeeping was great too....made up our room everyday. The things we didn't like so much. No pool. That would have made the stay 100%. The rooms need updating but not a deal breaker. The grounds also need some updating (tennis courts and basketball courts) could use some TLC. We were told new owners are coming on....so we're hoping they will address these issues because this place has HUGE potential. Overall, we had a lovely time and would stay there again

Went for a Prince Edward County wine tour, and stayed here. Very conveniently located close to many of the wineries. The buildings and rooms are a bit out dated, but the grounds were really nice, very quiet, and has its own private beach. Was probably quite the place in its heyday, but is clearing needing further updating. Seems like the owners are putting the effort in, but still have a bit more to go. However, I enjoyed my stay, and would gladly return. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant on the property was nice, except for it closing on Thursdays.

We booked this property and it was not cheap - which is fine but the restaurant closed at 8 pm exactly and was not even open the next day. It charged 4 dollars for a bag of ice and had no services at all available - give this property a "swerve" the management is either seriously flawed OR the Owners do not care and have abandoned it.
