You'll love the private boat access just a two-minute walk away, perfect for a day of fishing, cruising, or simply relaxing by the water no matter the time of year. The Space & Amenities Driftwood Cottage is a spacious 1,165 sq ft home that invites you to immerse yourself in the wonders of Maine. Our open living room and kitchen layout is perfect for spending quality time together, and our cozy reading nook/living room are stocked with board games, puzzles, and books. You can also use our private boat launch so you can bypass the crowded public launch/parking. • Access Lake Great Pond in the winter via access for ice fishing, you can use your snowmobiles Location & Nearby Attractions Our home is conveniently located for easy access to central Maine and beyond: • Lake Great Pond: A 2-minute walk to the shared dock and private boat slip. • Downtown Belgrade: A 5-minute drive. • Belgrade Golf Course: An 8-minute drive. • The Village Inn: A waterside restaurant with live music, 8 minutes away. • Augusta: The state capital is a 15-minute drive. • Waterville (Colby College): A 20-minute drive. • Freeport (Outlet Shopping): A 45-minute drive. • Portland: A 60-minute drive to the vibrant city. Other Details to Note: Guest Access & Parking: The entire home and property are available for your private use. You can access the home 24/7 during your stay with a door keypad. Ample parking for 5 vehicles plus additional parking is available at the lake access. There is parking big enough for a boat trailer right across from the lake access. There is plenty of parking for snowmobile trailers. The water access is available in the winter. You can drive your snowmobiles on the lake from the lake access. Dogs: Dogs are always welcome! Enjoyed a quick stay at this quiet lake side cottage. We appreciated having the window A/C as the temp was a little warmer than expected for October.
