Stunning views
Sat nav had trouble finding the hotel but that was our only problem ,staff welcoming and friendly,room spacious and the views were fantastic ,peace and tranquility .

Uma noite (muito) mal dormida
A Estalagem é bastante antiga em Serpa e devia ser modernizada. Muitos dos pontos negativos que aponto a seguir, têm a ver com isso mesmo. Há coisas, como por exemplo o mobiliário, que parecem estar lá desde a sua inauguração. Positivo: A paisagem. A Estalagem tem um aspecto agradável e acolhedor. Está situada num ponto alto e tem uma vista espectacular. O sítio é super calmo. As funcionárias são simpáticas e atenciosas. O wifi funciona bem. A piscina, apesar de não a ter experimentado, tinha um óptimo aspecto. O preço. Negativo: A cama, muito desconfortável, rangia e estalava por todo o lado, mal nos mexíamos. O estrado ainda é de molas com um estrado de madeira por cima. As almofadas, baixas e duras. A tomadas eléctricas são poucas e estão todas ocupadas com os candeeiros e tv. Para ligar o telemóvel à carga, tive de afastar a mesa de cabeceira e desligar o candeeiro. O sítio, tão sossegado, e de noite, os cães não paravam de ladrar. Há uma porta em ferro, que isola os quartos do resto da Estalagem. Ainda não eram 8h da manhã e(conforme os outros hóspedes foram saindo) já a porta batia. Era tão fácil pôr-lhe uns batentes em borracha.... O pequeno-almoço, muito elementar, embora talvez não se possa exigir mais para os 5€ cobrados. No entanto, não posso deixar de lamentar que, numa zona onde o pão é tão bom, só houvesse carcaças. E bolos "Dan Cake" em vez dos produtos regionais que são tão bons e que até servia como divulgação (queijadas, bolos folhados, popias...)

Gemütliches Hotel mit spektakulärem Ausblck
Das ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommene Hotel liegt auf einem Berg etwas ausserhalb der Stadt Serpa. Alle Zimmer haben einen Balkon und sind nach Westen ausgerichtet. Die Aussicht erstreckt sich kilometerweit über die leicht hügelige Landschaft. Die Einrichtung ist rustikal – gemütlich. Die Twinbetten sind allerdings sehr schmal. Das Bad ist ausreichend gross, die Ausstattung altertümlich aber gut funktionierend. Unterhalb des Hotels befindet sich ein grosser Pool. Es gibt ein Restaurant mit kleiner Speisekarte, eine Snackbar und eine kleine Bar. Besser isst man im Ort, wo ist eine Reihe von Restaurants gibt. Die drei Damen vom Empfang und der Kellner waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufgeschlossen. Der Rest des Personals tat sichtbar nichts. Wir waren für drei Tage praktisch die einzigen Gäste, was etwas gespenstisch war. Niemand hielt es für nötig, den Pool zu pflegen und das Mobiliar drum herum sauber zu halten. Erst bei unserer Abreise kam hektische Aktivität auf. Das Frühstück war für portugiesische Verhältnisse ordentlich aber auf die Dauer etwas langweilig. Was fehlt, ist ein Schutz gegen die Sonne sowohl auf den Balkonen als auch am Pool.
