I like the location of the hotel. Its in the middle of everything Beirut has. With that said the property is quite old and pricey as most of Beirut id. The worse part of my stay, the shower ran either way too hot then ehen you adjust it, it runs very very cold. Difficult to shower.

Tired and indifferent
No coffee maker or water in the room when I first arrived. Replaced promptly when requested. cable TV with over 100 channels, only two were English language. Reception did not or could not assist with phone calls or computer access Very poor wifi in rooms. Wifi available in lobby or in 6th floor restaurant. Difficult to adjust/maintain shower temperature. Hotel badly needs updating/renovation.

Great hotel but needs TLC
The location of this hotel is brilliant, if you're looking to stay in the vibrant shopping district of Beirut. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. However, it needs a bit of TLC. It's a bit tired - needs a fresh lick of paint and maintenance.

Hotel: Good Value and Good Location
I stayed in this hotel for three weeks. It is clean. It is convenient. The staff are polite and not intrusive. For Beirut, the hotel is relatively quiet. Although not four stars, the hotel is excellent value for the Hamra district. The breakfast is good with a reasonable selection of items. In short, I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel rate is maximum 1 star .
The hotel wasn’t that good, cleaning was ridiculous , they didn’t change the sheets for all the stay there, the towels were dirty, overall the stay wasn’t that good, and I left one day early and booked in different hotel.

The staff is very friendly and honest. I forgot my IPhone 8 and they contacted me and delivered to the airport before my deperature. Everything I asked for during my stay, they were so glad to make me happy. They are so wonderful.

Fine value, good location, but don't expect luxury
Good location in Hamra, walking distance to very good restaurants and a neighborhood feel. 15 minutes or less to American University. Very sweet staff. A very basic Lebanese breakfast on offer (tomatoes, cucumber, lebneh, hummous, bread), which we thought was perfectly adequate. No teapot in room, which we miss. Hot water takes forever to show up but once it does, it really does! Wi-fi does the job most of the time but gets slow from time to time. So, yes, there are improvements we might wish for but here's our bottom line: We booked 4 nights then looked around for a nicer place to stay, but for the price and value we decided to book another 4 nights at Orient Prince, so there you go. We'd come here again. Oh, yes, comfy beds and industrial strength air conditioning!

A week trip to beirut
I had a trip to beirut in July with my wife and son. Orient prince price was reasonable. Location excellent. Very clean rooms. Staff were helpful and if I would visit beirut in the future I would stay in the same hotel.

I booked this hotel without knowing the exact location. I wanted to be in Hamra. When arrived it was in a hilly place near Hamra. The service is non-existant. When I asked for a pair of slippers in the evening of 5 June I was told that they will get it for me in the morning since the service is closed. When I asked for it again in the morning of 6 June I was told that it will be delivered to me but did not arrive. The receptionist informed me later that day that they do not keep slippers in the hotel. Overall whilst Lebanese people are well known for good service. In this hotel service and communication are very bad. Having said that when making the payment on 7 June in the morning I found the lady receptionist to be friendly.

My friend and I had such a great experience at The orient hotel. I was there from June 15-21, 2013..The staff was so helpful and went out of their way to help. The front desk staff even offered her vehicle to show us around..talk about hospitality!! Lebanon is truly a beautiful country with beautiful people, both inside and out. I highly recommend staying here, especially for the price and it is in a great location! The breakfast is delicious too!! it is truly a hidden gem! The only issue I had was with cab drivers having difficulty locating it..They kept confusing it with another hotel in the area..otherwise, great service, clean rooms and great people working there!!

I was highly impressed by the Orient Prince Hotel. I stayed there 10 nights and I wasn't expecting much because the cost was on the lower end of the price spectrum; however, this hotel exceeded every expectation I had for it for the full 10 nights I stayed. Everyday my room was cleaned to perfection. Cleanliness is what I value most in hotels and this hotel met my standards. The room looked exactly as it does in the pictures. Their recent renovation truly was well done as everything from the bathroom to the bed looks brand new and I expect it to remain that way for quite some time with how well they clean everyday. The front desk staff also was very nice and spoke English. I am an American and this was my first time going to Lebanon and the Middle East in general so I was a little bit uneasy when I arrived my first night but the staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. I received a smile everytime I walked out of the hotel. I would fully recommend this hotel to any family or friend. You can't beat it for the price. TH
