Hottest shower in Beijing To be fair, I did shower very early in the morning. Friendly staff. Safe neighborhood. Very plain, simple absolutely no thrills. Amazingly, this older hotel did not smell of cigarette smoke. Skip the horrible subway taxi line! It’s an easy subway ride and then short walk from the train station. Easy to find. Leave yourself plenty of time to get back to the train station, the closest subway is huge to get across. I gave myself an hour to the fast trains and had just enough time. The hotel would not help me call a taxi. Provided an international adapter for guests. Had a nice tv with an English news station. Room is huge, perfect for repacking your bag before the next leg of your journey They charged my credit card a deposit and I had to pay in cash onsite. A very hard Asian style bed, stained hallway carpets, crispy rough towels, loud street noises right outside-but the price was right. Its in a “quiet” suburb and doesn’t have many foreign guests.
