We had a lovely stay at the Five Bells Inn. The family room was comfortable, clean and nicely furnished with plenty of room for 4 people and a dog. The pub is cosy and we had great evening meals on both nights we stayed there. It was amazing value and included breakfast (which was delicious). This is the worst hotel that i have stayed in. I stayed for 4 nights. 1st Night the room was freezing and the boiler was playing up. 2nd morning breakfast not served until 8am which is not ideal as i had to be at a place of work for 9am. I went into breakfast at 8am and ordered the kippers. At 8.25 am i asked if the breakfast was ready and the young lad made enquiries and returned to tell me that the chef hadn't heard him. I left for work and had to grab a banana from a nearby shop. Morning three, no hot water and got the kippers on this occasion(big mistake) I wouldn't feed them to my dog. Night 4 no heating again. Great food!! Lovely place to stay. Staff were fantastic, very accommodating to my 10 year old!! Room was lovely and light. Fab shower. Only place I have stayed in that had 3 big fluffy pillows per person the room......I usually have to ask for more. Food was great too. We would thoroughly recommend The Five Bells as an excellent place to stay. The staff where very friendly and helpful. The rooms where clean and very comfortable.
