This holiday cottage has been recently refurbished to a high standard to provide light, bright, comfortable accommodation for a couple or a single person. It sits in a wonderful rural spot, ideal for exploring the Suffolk coast and countryside, yet only a short drive to the quintessential seaside town of Southwold and its sandy beaches. You’re welcomed into the charming open plan living space with some exposed beams, a two-seater sofa, table, and chairs, should you wish to dine in, and a double bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric hob and oven, microwave, free-standing full-size fridge / freezer, small integrated dishwasher, washing machine / dryer, toaster, and kettle. With glazed doors and windows looking out to the countryside, this is a lovely light and airy space. There is underfloor heating throughout the property making it lovely and cosy in the cooler months. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower, WC, hand basin with a cupboard below, heated towel rail, large mirror with touch button lighting. There is an enclosed paved garden with garden furniture, the perfect spot to dine al fresco or simply, enjoy a glass of wine and soak up the sun Parking for one car. This expanse of shingle seems to go on forever in both directions, backed by low crumbling cliffs. Dunwich beach is set in a break between the cliffs where the road literally ends on the beach. Here you will find a number of small boats pulled up on the sand and a the National Trust tearoom. In fact, the National Trust own the beach and much of the surrounding countryside including Dunwich Heath which runs along the coast. This whole area is teeming with wildlife which thrive in these rare habitats. Just a short drive from Dunwich you will find RSPB Minsmere. Here you can spend a day spotting some the UKs rarest birds and wildlife including the Avocet, Bittern, Otter and Red Deer.
