About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Mining City Camp is secluded in the Kentucky woods.

This short-term cabin rental may sleep up to 21 people. In addition to 3 bedrooms and 2 baths has a dormitory style room with 5 bunk beds, 2 full baths and a full-size Kitchen. It is ideal for large families and or groups in search of a weekend in the woods of Kentucky. It's also ideal for a couple that wants a secluded weekend retreat. It is at the end of a gravel drive that is .2 of a mile off the road and sits on 30 acres of wooded hillside and is heavily populated with deer. It is 30 minutes away from Mammoth Cave, the Corvette Museum, Lost River Cave and more. Graham Central Station antique shop, located in Morgantown is one of my favorites. We also have 2 fire pits at the cabin.

Perfect place for our family
This property was the perfect place as a home base for our sons wedding! We had several out of state family members coming in and the wedding venue was 45 min from the closest large city. However Mining Camp was only 15 minutes from the venue! To have my whole family under one roof was priceless! And we even had our two Aussies with us! Rachel answered all my questions promptly and the check in process was a breeze! The property itself is tastefully decorated in a combination of lodge and antique motifs. The way the bunk room was separated from the rest of the house was perfect for the younger crowd (early 20’s) verses the older crowd (50’s). The kitchen was stocked with staples and snacks as well! There were plenty of plush towels for our large crew and the bedding was super cozy. We enjoyed the outdoor fire ring too! The place was spotless and there was plenty of parking! Mining Camp Lodge was such a blessing to our family as we celebrated the wedding!

It was not good. DO NOT recommend
The lady that rented this house to us messed up big time. She told us the day that we were suppose to go to the house that we were not able to come. My payment went through and I already booked the place earlier that week. In the notes it failed to say that the property was already rented out. The lady was rather rude on the phone as well after telling her that we did not have a place to stay. Not very happy with our experience and will not be renting through her.

Perfect Family Gathering
This home was the perfect place to gather with family. My grandchildren loved the bunk beds and enjoyed s’mores at the fire pit. Plenty of space!

Great experience
Property was set up so well for our group. The outside space was great for our younger kids to “hike.”
