This family home, designed and built in 1955, has been lovingly restored to its original 1950’s charm. With 4 bedrooms (1 queen, 1 full, 4 twins), 2-1/2 baths, (1 with walk in shower) it sleeps 8 or more comfortably. Located in quiet Pigeon Point, it offers a large living room, intimate dining room, and cozy den. Spacious kitchen with reclaimed wood floors features an electric range, dishwasher, microwave, and two refrigerators. Washer and dryer in laundry room just off kitchen. A large screened porch offers water views or stroll down the 200 foot dock to a roofed gazebo on the creek, and a large floating dock encourages swimming during warm weather months. Any time of year you may catch a glimpse of herons, egrets, or marsh hens. Or for that matter another type of "bird": F/A18s or F35Bs from nearby Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort. Expect some occasional jet noise, but enjoy the show! The house is so comfortable, you can tell it’s still a family home that is cherished and the family wants you to be comfortable and relaxed. Allison allowed us to change our check out time and that made a huge difference for us. The views from the gazebo in the marsh were fantastic. The sunsets were amazing. So many shore birds flying in and out with the tides. Beaufort is a wonderful place to visit - so much history. If you like fresh seafood, there are some fantastic restaurants. The oven was not working correctly so it took almost 90 minutes to cook boneless chicken breast tenders at 425\. The place was a very quaint lake house that was well stocked with kitchen supplies. Kitchen is reasonably equipped. The home was built in 1955 and most furniture is reflective of the era. Much of the furniture is beyond its prime. The piano is beautiful but un-playable due to it being out of tune and broken keys. The booking process and project management were excellent. ##### Karen K. We needed a home for our husband and furbaby to escape Helene. The property manager couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. Loved the period decor and the beautiful sunsets. Wonderful property full of kitsch and charm with beautiful river views and a great dock. Allison and Mike are fantastic to deal with. Very responsive and super helpful. Just another amazing, relaxing, relaxing, peaceful trip down here. This house is just so cozy and comfortable. It rained most of the time but that is totally ok.
