It was built in the late 1800s after the recent "unpleasantness". This cottage is so cheerful and has such a sweet spirit, a bad mood will disappear very quickly. Lovely views are all around. Bonny Cottage has one bedroom with a comfy queen bed and a large bathroom with a shower, a full kitchen and laundry room. It stands alone and has a pleasant patio outside for early morning coffee and late afternoon wine and cheese. Children under 12 are not allowed. It has historical significance that the owner has preserved beautifully. The artwork is an arrangement of original pieces painted by the owner who is a very talented portrait artist. It is decorated with wonderful antiques,has heart of pine floors, a comfortable 4 poster bed, lovely paintings by Ellen, and equipped with whatever you need. Super clean and we had everything we needed provided for us. Plenty of space for me and my wife. Downtown is really at most a five minute walk and the walk is rather nice. Definitely would stay here again. Oh. And just saying the people of this city are the nicest people on the planet ! Seriously! ##### Carey W. We booked the Bonny House to get away, rest, and regroup The property is beautiful. The house was spotless. Decorated in beautiful antiques. The furniture was comfortable and the amenities were plentiful. Our hosts Ellen and Mike are lovely people. We enjoyed getting to know them. The location of the property was walking distance to most everything. We experienced First Friday in Beaufort. That was fun and unexpected. There is lots to do.
