Guests will find themselves near all the coastal amenities of the NC Crystal Coast while staying in a comfortable fully accessorized home just a short walk to Beaufort's Front Street. Enjoy specialty shops, restaurants, Maritime Museum, the Beaufort Board walk as well as beautiful panoramic views of the southern outer banks all are a two block walk from the cottage. Beaufort has been named the 'Coolest, Friendliest Small Town ' in the USA and its a vacation destination by visitors from all over country. Anchors Aweigh is decorated in a "coastal theme" that is both roomy and comfortable. Accommodations include living room area and a downstairs bedroom, fully stocked kitchen has stove, microwave, full size refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and dining area that seats 9\. An upstairs loft easily sleeps 4 with a queen bed and a separate area that has a trundle with two twin beds (Note cottage has one bathroom that is located on first floor). A second shower/bath facility is located in the back yard next to the shed. Wi-Fi services , 2 TV's and DVD included. A private fenced covered patio area has outdoor benches (that convert to a picnic table), gas grill. and an outdoor sink for fish cleaning. The cottage is pet friendly for a small pet fee. Backyard shed has washer/ dryer / folding table. Adult and youth bikes are available for your use. There is ample onsite parking for 2 cars and/or trailered boat. Owners operate a 'seafood' business so fresh seasonal shellfish is readily available. Immaculately clean, very well equipped and well located. The owners were friendly, even dropped in to say hi and leave a basket of the freshest shrimp and oysters from their seafood business. The property was perfect for our stay scuba diving in the area. Situated near Moorehead City, area resturants, and Waterfront/Dive Shops. Property was clean with every ammenity we could have needed and the hosts went above and beyond and were gracious hosts. Outside area with sink,shower, and bathroom were perfect after a day of diving and scuba gear rinsing/drying. Highly recommend and looking forward to a return visit. ##### Benjamin Z. We were celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary and it couldn’t have been better. The Darden’s are kind and friendly and will help in anyway you need. Close to beaches boating and scuba diving. Seeing the original key to the house added to the houses nostalgia. Great location to visit Shackleford Banks and Cape Lookout. The owners were out of town during our visit but still made sure we enjoyed some shrimp. There were three beds, but basically two bedrooms so if you want it, three bedrooms, three beds, this may not work. hostess provided, delicious, shrimp, and snacks, including snacks for our little dog. The house was exactly as advertised. It was perfect for us! The house was very well stocked and very secure for our doggos. She stopped by to ensure our check in process went well and to see if there was anything she could do for us. They even brought us a healthy amount of steamed shrimp from their market! It was delicious too!! The house is a very short 6 minute walk to the waterfront where all the stores and restaurants are which is great. It is not run by property management, and the owners live nearby. The owners added several extras not found in other rentals such as many condiments and a bowl of packaged snacks. Pet friendly. Outdoor area to enjoy with the dogs. Location is great. It's close to a coffee shop. The town is super cute. A short drive to the ferry. Plenty of activities. ##### Cheryl V.
