My daughter and I didn’t mind the extra muscle burn walking up/down hill to walk the shops or grab a bit to eat. The location was an easy drive to park if desired downtown or head to Washburn for dinner. The room had all necessities for the kitchen, bathroom, shower, and cozy bed after kayaking and hiking. There was still plenty of activity and energy, just not the crowds. This is a wonderful property. We had a bonfire in the patio firepit on Saturday night. The property is within easy walking distance of downtown, including the Madeline Ferry and the Apostle Island Grand Tour. We already booked for next summer. ##### Chapin H. Location was close to town...only a few blocks and you get your exercise in as it's a beach town with lots of hills going down to the water. The views were wonderful, facing east and right over the harbor. No sunsets, but sunrises right in the front window. Space was as advertised, 600sq/ft, great comfortable king bed... The kitchen was small but adequate for 2 people. The appliances seemed to be new and worked perfectly. There is an outstanding deep front porch, lots of places to sit and a day bed! Very clean overall. Towels were of good quality and bathroom looks to be newly remodeled. There are 2 shower heads in the very extra large shower...which is great, but also the reason for only 4 stars. The shower heads would not hold their temperature (extreme hot or cold) unless you use the left one solo and then it was only ok due to low pressure. Very strange. I also wish the price advertised $Xxx/ night in June 2024, was realistic. After paying all the fees it was north of $xxx+75% per night for 2 nights. I knew the price before clicking accept. Just wish the price was more accurate to start with. Overall very pleased with the apartment as compared to a hotel room. ##### Jim R.
