Located high above the shores of Lake Superior, the Carriage House features one king and one queen bedroom, one bathroom (shower/tub combo), and a full kitchen and dining room. The great room boasts vaulted ceilings, a gas-operated fireplace, sleeper sofa, large windows and a walkout to the large deck where you can sip coffee and watch the sunrise or dine al fresco. Just beyond the house is a sprawling grassy lawn with a firepit and additional lake views. All linens, towels, and basic toiletries provided. Beach towels NOT provided. Kitchen stocked with essential cooking equipment and standard drip coffee maker. Sleeps 5\. There's an easy walking trail at the bottom of the hill. There were very few people around, making it very quiet. I loved the great room, but the furniture isn't very comfortable so it's not as enjoyable as it could be. But the view out the huge sliding doors is incredible. The bedrooms and bath were nice and the beds were comfortable. It's private and secluded, but just off the Brownstone Trail and a quick drive into town or to the ski hill. The fireplace was lovely and kept us warm despite single digit temps. Our family of four fit comfortably and cooked all of our own meals. The open living room/kitchen layout is perfect, and the view is beautiful.
