"This property is badly in need of an update. Patio doors have no seals causing noise and rain to come through. Kitchen was poorly stocked with glassware, dishes and cooking pans, toaster had a dangerous electrical shortage, there was no dining table, and water pressure and temperature from the showers was very poor. "I made a reservation for Grand Bavaro but i had to do an upgrade to Bahia principe Luxury Esmeralda, I loved Esmeralda for being on the first line close to the beach, the things i did not like was the air conditioning not being on, on the buffet and restaurants, the buffet close to the beach did not have too many options to eat and the most of the staff was not helpful you had to ask to many times for water or drinks on the buffet."

"We had the most wonderful time on this resort! Friendly for all types, families, lovers, etc. the staff was amazing, everything was clean, you always felt taken care of, and the food was great. Beautiful pools, the ocean, just a dream. My favourite employee had to be Irwin. Irwin made sure that we were absolutely taken care of from the moment we arrived until we landed back in Canada! He was the most professional and helpful person we could’ve asked for. Always went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. We plan on coming back and hope to have Irwin helping us again!! "
