What a wonderful experience! The hotel is beautiful. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The service is excellent. The people are the happiest people I have ever seen! The restaurants can compete with the best in the world: the service, the way the food is presented, the taste, the variety, the quality - top notch!
The beach is nice, although there was a lot of the saragossa sea grass. But it is the time of the year in the Caribbean.
We will be back!
One of our best stay. We traveled four different continents. Punta Cana is among the top.
Facility is good and maintain. Water was warm. Pool was good. Entertainment was nice.
Food - it depends. Some of the restaurant was mis-manasged and some are really nice.
Bit English is required for person working or We should had learned Spanish. Though people were really nice.
Good location. Nice hotel. Recommend to stay Ambar 2. Originally was located in Ambar 1, but room was full of bugs and shower didn't have hot water. Called front desk and was moved to Ambar 2 which was much nicer and newer. Close to beach and variety of food options. Got sick one night and the hotel provided medicine and assisted. I had a great time and would recommend to stay at Ambar 2.
This all-inclusive, adults-only Dominican Republic hotel is on 700 meters of beach on Playa Bavaro Higuey; Golf Club Punta …More
My experience was very nice, except an incident I had with a drunk guest that disrespected me on the trolley ride from the club to my room. My husband almost fought him, The driver should have removed him as he was very drunk, climbing on the seats and hanging from the side of the cart. I feel there's no security enforced on the drunk guest. There were drunk guys kicking cups of beer in the pool and getting on the counter at the bar to dance and acting very foolish.
We stayed 7-nights for our 2nd Honeymoon celebrating our 25th Anniversary. The vacation was wonderful and this resort lived up to all the positive reviews when it came to outstanding service from the staff and the grounds. We stayed in a luxury garden suite that was disappointing. I would recommend upgrading to Royal Service if you can afford it because the rooms are probably much nicer.
1st time booking through Expedia, it was an awesome experience. Love the accomodations, staff, food, rooms, pools,.... Only thing I did not liked was the beach... unfortunately it was not suitable to swim on due to the presence of algaes(abundant) and the smell of the water. Unfortunately that was the only thing, but it is understandable that it is mother nature.... We then took the trip to Saona Island where we loved the Caribbean sea... there we swan, drank and had much fun swimming on the beach.... Loved it!!
On the eastern side of the Dominican Republic, the town of Bavaro was originally settled by those working in the nearby resorts on the beach. The town quickly became a center of services and also boasts 10 miles of seashore. Hundreds of hotels, as well as shopping centers, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and medical services, can be found here.
