Apart from the damp toilet and the lack of shampoo and conditioner, everything is fine. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included for a fee, which is nice as I was attending a conference at the university and there aren't that many food choices on campus. Only one canteen serves dinner, so be prepared to eat in the town. Overall, this place feels safe for solo travellers and is especially suitable if you are there for work at the university. Basic university-type accommodation, with plenty of storage, a comfortable bed and decent, if small, bathroom with walk in shower. West Accommodation is situated the furthest away from the bus stop, with buses which go straight into the centre of Bath, with tap-in-tap-out: so convenient. We stayed over a weekend. There was plenty of free parking but perhaps during the week that may be different. Our stay was during the hottest weekend of the year. The re are really good blackout blinds but the windows do not open very far, so the room was hot and humid. A fan or air conditioning would have been very welcome. The staff were really helpful and knowledgeable. The cold water pressure in the bathroom was very low, so the shower was hotter than I would like, especially considering the weather. I reported it to the staff but nothing could be done during our short stay. The breakfast was continental style with a good selection of cereals, toast, pastries, cheese and meats, some yogurt and fruit, a wide selection of teas and coffee, fruit juices.
