Great place to stay when between major towns on coast where you have peace and quiet as well as the ocean. You can walk out to a very nice beach, hotel staff are very attentive. A very pleasnt stay,

Perfect! I really enjoyed my stay
The bedrooms are wonderful! They all have an ocean view and everything to help you to feel comfortable (terrasse, hot water, king size bed, rocking chair...). I really recommand it!

Good hotel in excellent location right on the beac
We stayed two nights at this nice hotel on the way back to the UK from Southern Spain. Fantasticically comfortable bed in recently refurbished room. Small room and bathroom but everything needed for a short stay. Good food in restaurant and reasonably priced. Only downside was the noise from the road and from a digger moving sand into lorries right outside our bedroom window from 8 am until 6 pm! We would ask for a room at the other end of the hotel away from the road if staying again.

A well-located hotel of a reasonable standard
Hotel has a great location overlooking the beach with reasonable balconies. However the sun rarely shines on them because (our wing at least) they are essentially north facing. The other wing looked only slightly better! The room had a rather basic feel at first sight but in fact the fittings were of good quality (Villeroy & Boch sink, Grohe shower etc.). This was down to the décor which was not to our taste. The restaurant was quite reasonable in terms of price and quality and there were alternative restaurants close by. The staff were friendly. There were no shops nearby and Bidart centre (which contains a few shops and eateries) was 10-15 minutes walk. You would really need a car. Going the other way Guethary centre is probably 20-25 minutes. The hotel has a very nice lounge and outside decking and eating areas (with sun loungers and patio furniture) overlooking the beach.

Mature couple on adventures
We only stayed one night but it was superb for the price. We will be going back as soon as possible. Location fabulous.

Great hotel
Cannot fault this place , staff , room, food, breakfast, all brill , all except one thing ........ There was no window in the bedroom , so no fresh air at night , it had a pair of double doors , but not what you want open at night on the ground floor and next to the car park ,other than that you can't fault it . Go for it you won't regret it .

This was an great hotel! Just what I needed to start my trip and that bed after the flight was soooo good. The location is beautiful, waking up every morning to the sounds of the ocean. The room was good, fresh and clean. Huge bed (for 1 person) and provided a kettle and a cookie! My only complaint is you can hear the neighbors especially when they're on the balcony. My first couple of nights it was loud (more so in the morning) and I was struggling with the jet lag so it was a bit annoying. This isn't the hotels fault though, it's all who you're stuck with at the time! The front desk staff were very helpful and able to speak in English. It was perfect and I wish I could go back! Location: it's about 5 min from Biarritz. I rented a car and it was easy to find, also discovered the faster way to get to Biarritz. Bidart is a beautiful town and the surfing looks amazing! I came speicfically to watch the surfing competition so it was perfect. If you're lucky and have a board with you, the surf is right there in front of the hotel. Wish I could've gone in! It takes you away from the bustle of Biarritz, very relaxing. There is also a bus that goes to and from Biarritz which is very easy to take.

Quiet hotel right on the beach with every room having an ocean view. Compact room with nice decor and up to date bathroom. Enjoyed balcony for drinks in the evening. Good breakfast buffet. Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel was within easy walking distance of the pretty village of Bidart and many restaurants.

The lady at the checking was wonderfully .
Very nice welcome. The rooms have view on the beach. Our room was very clean,the bed was huge and bedding very soft. Loved been so close to the beach.u can go straight to the beach from the hotel. A bit pricy but very nice hotel. A big thank u to the lady who book us in and made us feel welcome. Would recommend this hotel. ,

Beachfront or what!!
We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed our time there, the staff were friendly , the food brilliant secure parking, right on the beach easy access to larger towns but nice and quiet, we will go back for sure really nice place !!

The hotel is brilliant, location unbelievable. We feel the meals are very expensive, 12 euros for breakfast, 18 for a 2 course lunch and 23 for a 3 course dinner. Across the beach is a lovely Boulanger, in the village square 11.90 euros for 3 courses. Other than that everything was fantastic. We will return.

Wonderful views to the Atlantic Ocean.
We stayed in room #104 for three nights. The reception staff was very helpful. The hotel is located right next to the Atlantic Ocean. We had great views from our room and balcony over the beach and ocean with great sunsets. We had free parking on site. There is a bar and a restaurant at the hotel but we did not use them. The room had a king bed and a twin bed in a separate section of the room that could be closed off. There was also a luggage counter for one suitcase, a large desktop, kettle with tea and coffee supplies. There was also a rocking chair in the room. It provided a closet with hanging space and shelf space and a safe. The bathroom has a good-sized shower, space to place your personal toiletries next to the sink, and a hair dryer. There are also several restaurants across the street from the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel close to the beach
We stayed for 2 nights on our way down south. It was out of season so it wasn't really beach weather although the view from the room was great. The room was very comfortable and clean and I would definitely stay here again. It is a little bit out of the town but there are restaurants close by if you want to walk.

Super hotel - fabulous off-season rates!
We were thrilled with this hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. You couldn't ask for a better view from your room. The room was really clean, bright and airy. Each room has its own balcony overlooking the ocean. Located right on the beach. Bidart is located halfway between St. Jean de Luz and Biarritz.

What a gem.
Really pleased with this hotel. It was quite small (only 28 rooms) but this meant that you got good service. Rooms (with balcony and sea view) were well equipped and included tea/coffee making facilities. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Buffet breakfast had a good choice and represented value for money.

an excellent trip and stay at bidart
We are a small family of three and chose this hotel because of its beach location. The hotel was a little shabby in appearance, but the staff where very freindly and told me that this hotel is due to be re-fitted this winter. I hope they do a good job. we also went in to the near by pironees mountains which was another benefit as this offered even more adventure. i will give this hotel 9/10.

We verbleven (helaas) maar 1 nacht in La Frégate op doorreis vanuit Portugal. Het is een zeer mooi en net hotel, met super vriendelijk personeel én een lekkere (brasserie-) keuken. Ook het ontbijt was zeer goed. Het uitzicht vanuit de kamer op de zee is super; Een absolute aanrader !

Un endroit de rêve pour un séjour de rêve
Que dire de cet hôtel, de sa situation, de son confort, de son accueil ???? moi je dis tout est parfait et vraiment sans hésitation. La situation est parfaite pour découvrir la région en partant le matin et rentrant le soir. C'est vraiment l'endroit idéal. L'hôtel : parfait (ou j'utilise bcp le mot parfait mais il y a vraiment de quoi) : accueil, propreté (NICKEL et ça c'est mon critère n0 1 dans les hôtels), confort : literie R.A.S., petit déjeuner : il y en a pour tous les goûts. Et la vue carrément géniale. Nous sommes arrivés de nuit et avons ouvert nos rideaux le matin sur un ... océan. Rien pour briser la vue. Nous avons eu je pense la chambre qu'il y a sur la pub et de toute façon toutes les chambres donnent sur l'Océan, ça c'est bien vrai. Bref, encore une fois je dirais PARFAIT. Et je vous garantie que ça n'est pas du cirage de pompes . Allez y sans crainte. Nous, nous avons adoré (voyage entre copines de boulot).
