Lovely location
Was very quiet due to covid 19. Hotel was clean. The restaurant was closed but breakfast was conveniently delivered to our room. Only issues was the pool was not ready and aircon in room did not work.

Great place to stay.
Great stay. Very clean comfortable accommodation. Extremely helpful and informative receptionists. 6b bus from rear of hotel goes direct to town centre. Great service. Will go again.

We were disappointed when we were told on our second day we were not permitted to use the pool as there was a wedding party taking place in the garden. This was unreasonable and eventually we were allowed use of the pool after complaining.

Excellent value and friendly staff.
Although the hotel is located about 11/2 miles from the centre of Matera, the car parking, easy to find location off exit 5, the hotel facilities and the friendly staff made this an enjoyable experience and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Pleasant Stay
We chose this place expecting hot weather and the need for a swimming pool. As we had no car, we would have been better off closer to the old town. Our mistake - its no reflection on the hotel which is good.

Away from everything
Even though the hotel was nice and clean with comforts it was extremely noisy. There were parties on the weekend nights that had music blaring for several hours. I would recommend if one chooses to stay there to have a car and also not stay on a week end

We had booked for 2 nights. Upon arrival told that the pool was out of action and would be for another 2 days. With 2 small kids this was a problem. We decided to stay 1 night and go elsewhere for the second night. Then there Wi-Fi would not work so had to ask to use their computer to book extra night. 4 star hotel with no functioning pool or wifi was not good enough

Comfortable but not what I expected
Hotel is overall nice, the room very,very,very tired. Not what I was expecting.The room was comfortable. The front desk woman was very rude, and condescending; she was not pleasant at all throughout the whole stay. I was told in an email that the shuttle to the Sassi was available for the guests. When I arrived it was not in service, it was parked. I was under the impression we could choose a room with carpet or wood flooring. I was told only the carpet room is available and let me tell you the carpet needs to be changed. The wall paper in the room is old as weel but I must emphasize the room was clean.

No faults with hotel as such, however we were not impressed to be told on asking at arrival that the restaurant and bar would be closed. The only options for evening eating and drinking were to be found in the old town which cost €20 each way in a taxi. Surely between the hotel and booking agent (in this case hotels.com) there is a responsibility to inform guests that will be impacted. We would have chosen a different hotel given all the facts. Also no iron was available in the hotel.

We booked for a double bed and a single bed when we were at hotels.com yet when we got there the man said we had to pay 30 euro and then in a few minuted he said it would be 40 euros. We had a roach in our bath room and they did not say sorry. Breakfast was good yet under staffed. T

Surprisingly good
Surprisingly good for the money. This is a conference centre and hotel and I couldn't really complain about anything. It was a £10 taxi ride into town and a £13 ride back after ten. All were very helpful and as a base for travelling in and visiting the city I would stay again.

Very comfortable hotel.
We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and had a very pleasent stay. Loved Matera! The room was spacious and comfortable and the buffet breakfast had a good selection. There was ample room for parking right on the premises.The hotel is located about 2 kilometers out of town-not convenient if you don't have a car. I think there is a nearby bus stop but not sure how often it runs.

Very helpful & accommodating staff. Went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable & our needs were met. Very clean. Easy short drive to centre. Close to highway. Pretty, peaceful gardens.

Hotel Del Campo in Materra
Great location, easy to find, and close to Sassi. We enjoyed our stay. Air conditioner shut down during the night and the staff came to fix. It shut down again before we left. This was the only problem we experienced. Good breakfast and good parking areas.

Poolen var stängd, otrevlig service personal
Vi fick inte checka in på hotellet när vi kom dit vid 12/13 tiden. Vilket var helt okej, Sålänge man kunde hänga vid poolen. Men detta fick vi inte. Receptionisten var helt oförstående kring detta. Vi valde detta hotell tack vare poolen och så får vi inte använda den

Ho alloggiato in questo hotel per una notte, senza dubbio sarà stato un bel 4 stelle negli anni '80, la struttura e gli arredi delle stanze risultano essere un pò datate. La colaizone è da 3 stelle non di più.

Matera fuori dai sassi
Albergo molto bello e conveniente a una decina di minuti di auto dal centro. Ottimo per chi viaggia in auto. Periodo di semi lockdown, quindi ristorante chiuso e colazione su ordinazione dalla sera precedente, limitata ma comunque con buona scelta. Un bel giardino nella parte antica della costruzione, lato ristorante, e una piccola piscina. Comodo anche per il posto auto.

Sicuramente un buon hotel nella la piscina colazione servita al tavolo non distante dal centro ,ma bisogna spostarsi in auto,le camere sono pulite e accoglienti .Personale gentile e disponibile .

Struttura gradevole fuori il centro, ottima base per muoversi liberamente. Alcuni disservizi hanno reso poco piacevole il soggiorno: aria condizionata spenta durante la notte il primo giorno e accesa solo dopo diverse richieste il secondo giorno, piscina chiusa e con il caldo di Matera era necessaria, colazione così così....presentano una piccola lista con bevande e pietanze e poi quando si scelgono alcune non ci sono. Per un 4stelle si deve fare meglio!

Gentile Cliente, La ringraziamo della Sua recensione, ma volevamo farLe notare circa le Sue osservazioni, che la temperatura esterna durante il Suo soggiorno non consentiva l'accensione dell'aria condizionata full time. Anzi, secondo le disposizioni COVID19 l'aria condizionata non dovrebbe proprio essere attiva. Circa l'uso della piscina, sempre le condizioni meteorologiche, non ne consentivano l'apertura. Per quanto riguarda la colazione, non essendo consentito l'uso del buffet, cerchiamo di offrire i prodotti previsti dalla colazione di tipo continentale. Sperando di aver chiarito la nostra posizione, saremmo ben lieti di riavervi come clienti in un prossimo soggiorno a Matera. La Direzione

OTTIMA LOCATION
Ho scelto l’Hotel del Campo sia per la location (non troppo in centro di Matera per evitare problemi col traffico e col parcheggio) sia per le condizioni proposte. Sono rimasto molto soddisfatto: pulizia nella stanza, cortesia da parte del personale per la consumazione della colazione, ricca, varia, e gustosa. Ritornando a Matera usufruirò dello stesso Hotel. Complimenti ai proprietari e al personale.
