Dear WilliamThank you for your review which leaves us perplexed. The GAIA Hotel is the most traditional hotel at the station and our building is quite picturesque as it was built around 1900. In fact, we are close to the train station and therefore in a lively environment which most of our guests appreciate. Since we are located directly at the station, we have short-term parking spaces directly at the hotel. You have been made aware of this by our reception team. Of course, you are free to park your car in the underground garage first and then bring your luggage to the hotel yourself. We would like to assure you that our furniture is of high and sustainable quality. We are very sorry that you did not notice this. Our lobby is also much appreciated by our guests and our friendly front office team exudes a youthful charm.It is a great pity that we were unable to satisfy you. We would have loved to have received your feedback personally and taken action on the spot. Now it is no longer possible for us.Perhaps you will give us another chance during your next stay in Basel.
