We loved our stay here. The staff was very friendly including the cleaning staff. The room was very nice and very clean. Also walking distance to restaurants. I would highly recommend to stay here you won't regret it. I can't wait to go back.

Always stay here , close to everything . Great dinning spots within walking distance. Staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable. And breakfast is always hot and their staff that Re in charge of the dinning room are always checking to make sure there is lots of food for everyone. It is my go to hotel always
Hampton Inns are the best except when hockey teams and families are staying there. We stayed at the Barrie Hampton Inn and everything was great except the noise from the hockey situation. We were on business so had no choice in staying at that time even knowing there would be trouble with the hockey teams there at the same time. The staff was excellent trying to get us a room away from the teams however, once the parents had the kids put to bed they then went to a room near us where they partied until 4:00 a.m. No security evident. I would suggest the Hampton Inn hire security to walk the halls during the times hockey teams are there. Also, the breakfast area was a zoo. One person was making 5 waffles in a row, getting them for the whole family. Since when can guests monopolize as if it was there own kitchen. Worse experience ever at breakfast which is usually outstanding. Problem- the guests not staff.
Close to Hwy 400 Exit and just beside shopping center and restaurants
Nice double queen beds and spacious room for a family with kids.
There was sort of party noise from the upper floor at night but was ok to sleep.
Situated on the western shore of Lake Simcoe about 60 km north of Toronto, Barrie is a thriving city with much to entertain visitors. Sun seekers flock to its beaches in the summer months, and in the winter the surrounding ski resorts and snowmobile trails offer plenty of excitement. The historic downtown area is fun to wander around, and there are a number of festivals held throughout the year.
