Thank you for your review. We do have alerts on all websites about our full hot breakfast and indoor pool being closed until further notice due to COVID19. There is just no way to safely distance people in either the pool area or our breakfast room at this time. We will be happy to open them back up as soon as it is safely possible. This is an older property that has had some renovations- it was clean, however we had cardboard lining our window. For a quick overnight stay it suited our needs.

The heat was loud and kept me awake all night. The front window curtain did not block out the parking lot lights so that too kept me awake.

We are very sorry to hear that the heater/AC unit seemed to keep you awake during the night. They are energy efficient PTAC units and are set to turn off once the desired temperature is reached. Once it drops below the set temp, then the machine will kick back on again. We hope you will come back to visit us again on future travels to the area.

It is a convenient location if you want to ski Sugarbush or Mad River Glen on a budget.

The door of the washroom was not secure ( really not well built ( not legal, not compliant). It was a cheap option for Sugarbush resort but not near the resort.

Customer service was amazing. Informative and knowledgeable. The room didn’t smell so good. I’m not sure if the carpets need deep cleaning but it wasn’t pleasant. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. The hot tub wasn’t that hot and the floors were not that clean in the pool area. Otherwise, for the price I was impressed.

It was very quiet durring our stay. The breakfast was a pleseant surprise. Lots to choose from. Ths room had an odd smell that kinda reminded me of a musty old man. We got a freshener and that helped some. It wasnt unbearable and we still enjoyed our stay. The staff is oustanding and present 24/7. We will stay again if we are coming back.

Older facility but new carpeting, beds, furniture etc. very nice for money and would stay again. Barre is a cute town with decent food offerings. 15 minutes from Norwich.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are an older property, but we have replaced, upgraded, and re-done all guest rooms. The heater/AC units are all in one. So when you turn the temp up on the "heat" setting, it is going to heat up the room, but it is not an instantaneous result. Just as your home heater does not heat up your home instantly, our heaters take about 15 minutes to get good heat throughout the room. We do have staff available at all times for reasons such as this, and encourage all guests to contact the front desk if they need assistance. We appreciate your business and hope to see you back again soon!

After a long business meeting, I returned to the hotel to find no parking spaces. At least 6 spaces in the lot were taken up with construction vehicles. I had to do a 5 point turn to squeeze my car into the last remaining space in a corner of the back lot with a dump truck in front of it and another car beside it. It felt as if the hotel was renting out spaces to a local company and not putting their customers first.

Thank you for staying with us! We apologize that you had difficulty finding a parking spot after returning for the night. We do have construction workers that come often, but when they have large box trucks they park in our back parking lot. We have another entire parking lot in the back of the hotel as well. We staff our office 24/7 so there is always someone here that can help with just about any issue. We certainly would have come out and helped you find a spot. Due to the Fall Foliage season, we were extremely busy every single night, which then our parking lot also fills up. Thank you again for your review and we hope to have you give us another try should your travels bring you back to Barre VT.

the staff was very nice but the room was old and the room actually slanted downward. the bathroom set up was strange with the sink on an angle which made it difficult to get into the shower. the toilet during the night would actually make this belching sound. the shower water pressure was week and having to go down this very step set of steps to go to breakfast ( the room had a strange oder as well) was difficult. I don't know how anyone with any disability would negotiate the steps. Overall it was not a great stay especially with how expensive I thought it was for what we received.

They work very hard every day to ensure that our guests have everything they need for an enjoyable stay experience. Our breakfast room is down 1 flight of stairs which we do disclose during the check in process. If any guest has mobility issues, we have a full menu of our breakfast offerings we can give them so they can order what they would like for breakfast in the morning and we will personally deliver it right to their room. Our breakfast room used to be a full restaurant and bar at the time we purchased the property, and we changed it into our breakfast room. We tried to investigate as to the toilet issue you had mentioned but could not find any "belching toilets". Thank you again for your review and for your business, and we hope you will come stay with us again should your travels bring you back to Barre VT!

Seasonally, there are june bugs or flying beetles, but no cockroaches. The hotel is definitely older and a bit outdated. Needs a lot of updating and proper cleaning. Our bathroom blinds couldn’t even be opened because they were broken and the toilet was dirty. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. There are a lot of workers that stay there that tend to drink and hang out outside of their room doors.

Totally disappointed!
Arrived at the location and was very much disappointed, so much so that we left our keys in the room(s) and left, not to return. I wish that I did not prepay for the room but was disappointed enough that I was willing to forgo the $255 that I had committed. I would like to get my money back if at all possible. id not equate this kind of quality to the Quality Inn network of hotels. Did not take photos but you should! Mike Prior

I'm sorry that you apparently did not have a good stay experience. We do not allow drugs to be used at our hotel, and if we are made aware that there may be trouble going on in a guest room, we would immediately check the people causing the trouble out of the hotel. We are very selective when someone walks in looking for a room from the local area and absolutely do NOT condone drug use on our property. We hope that you might give us another try if you travel through the area again.

Wi fi was not functioning in the first room, they changed me to another room and wifi was spotty at best. Breakfast room was really basic. I usually to Quality Inn when I go to the US but this one was not up to standards for the price.
