The staff, and especially the desk staff in the lobby, were very helpful and hospitable. Did not know that there was not an ATM in Barra, or that the hotel did not accept credit cards (should've read the fine print closer!). But the Hotel Staff were very accommodating and willing to give us some time to get the cash to pay for the room. Was able to communicate alright with my basic Spanish, but the folks at the hotel did not seem to know much English (so a heads up if you do not speak Spanish, be ready to use a translator app or something). The room was simple and fairly minimal as far as luxuries go, but it had everything we needed. Was a nice place to come back to after a day out and about. Great value for the price and a very convenient location. There was just sheets on the bed with no cover and the top sheet was too short so you were always uncovered. We had two beds in the room and the mattresses were horrible, both myself and my friend woke up with sore backs and shoulders.
