The cottage is clean and have a positive atmosphere. Surrounding nature makes the place very relaxing. We loved the fire place. Carport next to the cottage was so helpful. The direction of getting to the cottage was a bit confusing. One of the reasons we booked this cottage was having a spa but we couldn't use the Spa as it was so cold and by the time it got to the right temperature it was bed time. We were disappointed as we expected a ready to use spa like other places.

Quaint serene getaway with everything
So quaint and peaceful but only 10mins out of Colac. So serene peaceful get away with everything you need.

Quiet location, well set up kitchen/bathroom, bedrooms, porch on three sides and Hot tub with a view (bit noisy in the night, we had to turn it off) Parking right next to cottage under carport, when we arrived the table was set and a lovely bottle of wine was waiting. Kitchen also has coffeemaker, teabags etc, dishwasher and washing machine come with some tablets, plenty of towels and pillows, sofa pulls out (great for relaxing) BBQ and fire place available but not to be used in bush fire season. The winery and brewery are unfortunately closed, and the cafe is only open friday to sunday, and then only sells pizza so that was a bit disappointing. Good base to visit the twelve apostles via the gourmet route (we loved Timboon distillery and blueberry picking)

Hi, We agree, the location of our Cottage is in a beautiful bushland setting and the Hot Tub is a great way to finish the day. Unfortunately, the noise of the Hot Tub running is not anything we can do about as it requires a pump to operate. I hope it didn't disturb you too much! I'm also glad you found our Cottage was well stocked with the necessary amenities and appliances to enjoy your stay. We pride ourselves on providing high quality linen and towels for our guests to enjoy a 5 star Bush Retreat. In regards to the winery and brewery...they are owned and operated by separate entities and are also regulated by different Covid restrictions. I'm sorry you didn't get to try these facilities. I think all business's are still finding the best way to operate in a CovidSafe environment. Thank you for your review and we hope you come and stay again!

Just a few issues with communication
The stay itself was lovely though the manager told me that the brewery nearby was open but not for meals however the brewery has been completely closed for sometime. Also I was told that I could pay the remainder on arrival but the remainder was taken out of my bank without me knowing the week before. Also the day before I emailed a few questions and left a few messages on the managers phone and had no response at all. Also there was no wifi or phone connection at the property whilst the brewery was not in operation. (apparently you can get wifi at the brewery and you can ask a staff member for the password ) Also we got a list of instructions of how to leave the property emailed to me on the evening of our stay which of course I couldn’t access until I had left the property and was within range again.

Hi Shanti, I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay, however I would just like to clarify some of the concerns you raised in your review. Obviously at this time we are living in very difficult times with the Covid-19 virus having a big impact on our services. The brewery is a separate enterprise to our cottages and we had been provided information that they were open. I can only assume that due to the ongoing ramifications of Covid-19 they have chosen to stay closed. I do apologise for the misinformation. As for the other items regarding payment and wifi...it is clearly detailed in our listing that final payment is taken 7 days prior to arrival and that there is no wifi. This accommodation is an opportunity for guests to remove themselves from the hustle and bustle of city life and relax in the wonderful quiet of the Otway rainforest. Again I apologise if perhaps you did not see this information in our listing, however I assure you it is there. If there is anything else I can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact me.

First getaway since COVID restrictions were lifted. Went with friends and what more can I say but thank you. Was one of the most peaceful stays we have ever had. I would stay here again in a heart beat just so I can see the rest of the winery next time. Clean and inviting with great communication.

Beautiful wine country
3 week road trip along the coast from Melbourne to Sydney and this was our first stop. Beautiful location, private along with wildlife right outside. Enjoyed the brewery and the Italian pizzas.

Winery and brewery were closed, and this was one of the main reasons we booked. Property is changing hands, but no advice to clients. Some areas were not clean( oven tray was filthy ) and limited amount of firewood available. Do hope the new owners do a better job

Lovely cosy winter getaway.
We had a relaxing weekend. Made use of the fireplace and spa. Visited the onsite brewery and winery on a sunny winter afternoon. Lovely hostess who was very knowledgeable and made check in a breeze

Happy to hear you enjoyed the surroundings although we are sorry that the lack of Wifi and phone service presented a problem for you. We do offer complimentary wifi at the Brewery Outlet (although we are at the mercy of the internet gods here) but unfortunately are unable to offer it at the cottages. We understand that many people have varying mobile providers but it is an unfortunate case that in this immediate area if you aren't with Telstra, then mobile service can certainly be an issue.

Bush, vines, relaxing and beer
We had a fantastic stay at Otway Estate. The cottage (No.2) was set in bush that was inside the vineyard estate. We heard frogs at night and I even saw an owl. The room was clean, with a well stocked bar, and big spa. The fireplace was also set up ready to light, and there was tonnes of hot water. The kitchen is well equipped too. Craig and Jude were amazing - we had lovely chat with them at the brewery and they went that extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Pet friendly. Fun. Relaxing. Excellent beer. Great hosts. Couldn't recommend more highly!

Lovely spacious cottage with spa pool and all facilities. Enjoyed trying the paddles of beer and cider. Great walks to the waterfalls. Excellent.

Peaceful and serene slice of heaven.
Our stay was in January and the bush and vineyard surrounding was just perfect to go off the grid and reclaim some special time and recharge your batteries. We left feeling super relaxed and will definitely return again.

You cannot beat staying in the bush with an outstanding brewery, vineyard and restaurant within 2 minutes walk!
