Located in the quiet rural hamlet of Patchole, this converted Grade 2 listed detached holiday barn The Threshing Barn (ref HSSW), offer a combination of both character and contemporary design. Spacious accommodation goes hand in hand with very good facilities and all the modern conveniences guests may require during their stay. The barn overlooks a courtyard and small garden at the back of the owner’s farmhouse with sitting-out areas exclusivley for you.. There is a 3 acre paddock for walking pets and your self! Patchole is set in the heart of the North Devon countryside on the edge of Exmoor and is well suited for exploring this area. At Croyde and Woolacombe, some of the best and cleanest surf beaches in the country can be found, as well as many smaller coves and bays. Barnstaple, the regional town, offers a range of shops. Golf nearby. Shop 2miles in Combe Martin, pub The Pyne Arms is 2 miles. Free WiFi If the facility to charge an electric vehicle is required then our neighbour has a port which he is happy to offer with a cash charge. Children must be supervised on site due to possible safety hazards. The water is from a spring, well or borehole, and not a mains supply. However, the main reason I would not return to this place is that there is a toilet IN THE BEDROOM with no dividing door for privacy or hygiene. There are many steps within the property including of course, the stairs to go to the second bedroom. The aforementioned steps make it difficult for some people to move around the cottage easily. The upstairs bedroom has extremely low beams, which means you have to crouch very low to get into or out of bed. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen area was clean and was well stocked with utensils. We were given more mugs when we asked for them, which were definitely needed. ##### Carolyn W.
