The flat is located on a street that is in the Gràcia neighbourhood, a popular and lively area of Barcelona. This street is centrally located, making it convenient for those who want to explore the city and enjoy all it has to offer. Gràcia's history dates back to the 17th century, when it became an independent village. In 1897, Gràcia became part of Barcelona and today it is known for its bohemian atmosphere and narrow streets full of shops, bars and restaurants. There are many tourist attractions close to the flat, including Park Güell, one of Barcelona's most famous parks and designed by the famous architect Antoni Gaudí. Also nearby is the famous La Pedrera building, another of Gaudi's many iconic buildings in Barcelona. For those looking to sample local food, there are many typical bars and restaurants in the area, including La Botiga del Café, a cosy café serving delicious breakfasts and brunch, and La Pepita Burger Bar, a restaurant specialising in gourmet burgers. There are many dining options in the area, ranging from small restaurants to more upscale places. There are also many types of transport close to the flat, including buses and the metro. The nearest metro station is Fontana (L3), which is just a few minutes' walk away. The area is also well connected to the rest of the city, making it easy to get to any place you want to visit. The apartment is your own. The apartment has been decorated with nice design furniture to make you feel comfortable during your stay and fully equipped with everything you need. This lovely apartment with modernist reminiscences has a total area of 45m2 and can accommodate up to 4 people. It is located on the ground floor (a bit below street level) of the estate. Upon entering you will fall in love with the classic beauty of the furniture, creating a very pleasant & pacefull feeling. It has a living room equipped with a sofa bed, and flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a DVD player, a full equipped kitchen, the bedroom with the double bed and the bathroom. For transportation, Gràcia is served by the L3 (Green) and L4 (Yellow) lines of the Barcelona metro, with stops at Penitents, Vallcarca, Lesseps, and Fontana on the L3, and Joanic and Verdaguer on the L4\. The Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) also operate the Gràcia station of the Barcelona - Metro de Vallès line. Additionally, numerous bus and night bus lines in the TMB Barcelona system cover Gràcia. As with the rest of the city, bikes are very common. All foreign vehicles must register to drive around Barcelona. Those interested will have to request the registration of the vehicle in the Metropolitan Registry of foreign vehicles. Once the fulfillment of the requirements has been validated, the applicant will be notified of the registration of the vehicle and the authorization to circulate in Barcelona. Vehicle registration will be resolved (accepted, denied or incomplete) within 15 business days of the request. Close to a couple of metro stations, making it quick to get to any tourist bits you want to see, and near to the slightly quirkier and cosier area of Gracia. The apartment itself was well supplied (and a nice bottle of Cava in the fridge). The only issue was that the mattress was on the very firm side and we actually struggled to sleep because of that - an optional memory foam mattress topper would vastly improve it. Check-in at the property was super easy and we were able to keep constant communication with the host as we made our way into the city. everything was clean and tidy inside, a nice private little apartment. the TV is a smart TV too which isn't a big deal when on holiday but it was great for relaxing in the evenings. However it was dark inside and we were unable to get the blinds to work. We arrived earlier than our check-in time and someone was able to meet us within half an hour of our arrival to let us in, so that was very nice. However, we did have a leak in the kitchen that continued to get worse throughout our stay. As it was in the kitchen, it made it difficult to access the appliances and sink. ##### Beth S. Nothing about it felt cramped, despite it not being more than 500 sq ft. The fully stocked kitchen allowed me to cook meals to my dietary needs, but there were many lovely restaurants nearby, and a charming culture to the classy area around this apartment. I loved the washer and dryer being there as I could pack light, knowing that I was able to do laundry. They supply 2 laundry soap pods, but there is a 24hr tiny store across the street where you can get more laundry detergent tablets. There is also a high quality little grocery store just kitty-corner from the apartment. Larger grocery stores like Dia or Condis are a little further away, but very walkable. The VRBO host was great at communicating and everything for check in and check out was smooth. The only downside to this place is that the bedroom has no window, so it can be dark in the mornings. May 30, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Cozy apartment with easy Metro access to the sights This apartment is in a quaint neighbourhood with lots of restaurants and a food market within a 5 minute walk. There is easy access to two Barcelona Metro stations. We found it very easy to get around. The apartment was smaller than we anticipated, but perhaps that was our North American perspective. It was clean, cozy and comfortable for the two of us. The basic toiletry and cooking supplies were provided. But only 4 coffee pods were supplied. The only issue I had with this rental was how the Tourist Tax was handled. There was no indication at the time of booking that a tourist tax had to be collected in cash at arrival. I was informed by the host 15 hours before my arrival and just two hours before for my flight out from Canada. I hate unnecessary surprises! And this one caused a fair amount of anxiety as I scrambled to get additional cash at the Barcelona airport. Perhaps this is a VRBO issue. I have not had this issue with my AirB&B bookings. ##### Brad C. The neighborhood itself was really convenient if we wanted to take the Metro but we actually did lots and lots of walking! Would definitely recommend this spot as the host and her greeter when we arrived were both very easy to reach and communicate with. ##### Mary K. The location is absolutely perfect, close to everything, with easy access to public transportation, charming cafes, local markets. The Fontana metro station is just a 7-min walk away. The apartment is exactly as pictured: clean, well-equipped, comfortable, and with a warm welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the oven had just been replaced for a brand new one.Communication with the host was clear, quick and kind.
