We are very excited to open my apartment to fellow travelers! Next to the bright and huge living room, you have a lovely balcony. You will love this space. With a small table here, you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee in the mornings or a fabulous glass of wine in the evenings. ⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT Please note the apartment is located in a residential building, where neighbors live here all year around and it is our obligation to respect their rest. Walls are very thin and other residents of the building very sensitive to noises. Please make sure before confirming your reservation you can adhere to the simple House Rules that are detailed below. The Neighborhood: Camp de L'Arpa, a part of the original neighborhood of Muntanya (mountain in Catalan) of Sant Martí, was started to be built in 1845 without being included later in Cerdà’s Urban Plan. For that reason even today the conserved street structure is very different from the typical squared one of the near Eixample During the 19th century both Camp de l'Arpa as well as El Clor saw the construction of many factories. Getting Around: The closest metro station is Encants (Line 2). The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the train towards "Aeroport" at Passeig de Gracia. There are trains every 20min and it costs around 5€. Other Things to Note: \*\*\* TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS \*\*\* \- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small fee of 6.25€ per guest (over 17 years old) per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. Communication with the host was good and responses were always quick. Unfortunately, the accommodation did not correspond to what was promised in the pictures. The pictures were probably taken 10 years ago, because the entire interior is now worn out: the tiles on the walls and in the floor are loose or broken and there are deep cracks through the walls and ceiling throughout the apartment, many windows are broken and Leaky (when it rains, water runs from the balcony into the room), the paint is peeling off the walls and doors, there are missing curtains in the bedroom, the furniture is worn out and we didn't use the electrical appliances in the kitchen (microwave and coffee machine) because they were dirty . The worst thing, however, was the infestation of the accommodation with cockroaches. Cockroaches kept coming, especially in the kitchen between the coffee machine and the refrigerator, so we couldn't store any food and completely avoided cooking food. Keuken is aftands en versleten, ook niet echt netjes. Koken is hier niet echt een optie. We kregen 1 grote handdoek pp voor 5 dagen, dat was het. Deuren van badkamer en toilet sluiten niet. Improvisoir kasten in slaapkamers vallen bijna uit elkaar. Niet praktisch. Er is een lift maar je moet daarvoor toch eerst nog een hoge trap op, dus voor mindervaliden of slecht te been is dit uitgesloten. Attention, pas de clef mais accès avec smartphone uniquement et relié à internet.
