Nice hotel

Stayed in an ocean view room, loved being able to sit on the patio and feel the ocean breeze and listen to the ocean every night. It was a very pleasant stay.

Close to the beach but far away from everything

Posted 24-Mar-2017
For some reasons we didn't get an hotel close to the city , and I was in Barbados for Bussiness , the reception of the hotel is close after 9:00 pm the restaurant is close by 10:00 pm when you get back from your meetings there is nothig open even you can no buy water. The hotel rooms are ok , gret view but low maintenance.

Wonderful staff, nice deck, pool and beach acces

Posted 24-Mar-2017
Cons: Wifi available on deck but not in our room. Nesting pigeons in outdoor room were at first amusing. By weeks end the mess they left behind was gross.
Location: Easy trip to Oistens or to some of the best beaches Bottom Bay Crane. Some call it out of the way but we appreciated coming home to the calm and quiet
Silver Point exceeded our expectations. Very friendly and helpful staff. We did pay a bit extra for an oceanfront room which was well worth the expense. A large outdoor balcony room overlooking the white sand beach and rolling Caribbean blue ocean was a wonderful place to enjoy the mornings and evenings when not exploring the island or relaxing on the full size canopy beds on the deck or in the lounge chairs in the abundant shade. Awesome.. Fabulous relaxing vacation.

A nice hotel on the beach , off the beaten track

Posted 18-Mar-2017
Off the beaten track and not too close to amenities but a nice getaway. You can hear the ocean at night and very intimate . Restaurant options limited but pleasant . I recommend this hotel as a mid budget getaway and thought it was well worth the money

Great room overlooking the beach and ocean.

Located away from busy tourist areas - nice- but surrounded by obviously poor not-so-good residential neighbourhood - not so nice. Great hotel layout with direct beach access, restaurant and bar right next to pounding surf, and rooms surrounding open air walkways and gardens. Pool is a bit small, but located right next to the bar and large deck with lots of lounge chairs and tanning beds. Room was excellent and clean. Be sure to get oceanfront room if you can. Unexpected bonus was watching lots of kitesurfers and sailboarders from privacy of terrace attached to room. Only knock about hotel is maintenance. Building looks a little tired, could do with better lighting, and hotel staff should pick up litter along the beach (even though it's not theirs).

Close to the beach but virtually no amenities.

I would not stay here again. The mattress was not comfortable, the hotel has only 1 place to go, and the WiFi was so bad I could not even send a simple e-mail. That's the only time there for me

nice hotel with great staff

Posted 18-Nov-2016
Pros: The friendly and efficient staff, the view of the sea from the restaurant, the food choices.
Cons: Rooms could be upgraded, more lights in the bathroom.
Location: this hotel is not at a tourists' spot, more like in a local housing area. But it is near the beach and The Action Man's (local legend) surf shop.
My husband & I choosed Silver Point Hotel after reading reviews on Expedia. The rooms are just OK, a little dated and the bathroom is too dark. However, we liked the restaurant area which has an awesome view of the sea. Also the pool though not big was great to dip in especially on a hot day and at night. We could walk to the beach which was easily eccessible from the hotel. The food choices for breakfast and dinner was just great. We enjoyed all that we ate there. The best part of our stay was the local staff - everyone from the check-in staff to the security and the staff at the restaurant was efficient, courteous and friendly. They took time to get to know us and chat for a while without being imposing. Shout out to Robert for sharing your adventures with us (God has a plan for your life) and Stacia for being very attentive when I had a mild tummy ache upon arrival. She gave me Agostura bitters & seltzer which really helped me feel better. Lastly, the star of the hotel was this cat called Gloria. She was like an ambassador of the hotel, she would walk us to our room at night and wanted to come in! She was so friendly I almost thought she was a dog (lol!)
