Boutique hotel on the water.

Posted 11-Feb-2016
Pros: Great rates for January. Clean and well kept. the entire staff was very friendly and welcoming not to mention fun to be around.
Cons: Not one thing from my experience.
Location: Convenient to Airport, 15 minutes. Somewhat remote which added to the privacy. Bus or cab ride to shopping areas, urban areas & other restaurants.
We had a fabulous experience. Our suite adjacent to the main hotel was private and very pleasant. Water and beach was a step off the deck. Snorkeling could be a bit tricky with multiple wind surfers, but overall great spot. The entire staff was a pleasure, friendly and very accommodating. The restaurant which we enjoy for multiple breakfast, lunches and dinner was excellent !

Close to beach - Great location to explore from.

Suite was clean and we'll appointed with distant view of ocean. No special care for VIP status (no upgrades or complimentary services) Dinner was decent ; breakfast substandard. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful.

Right on the Beach but more of a motel Vibe

Posted 25-Jan-2016
Pros: enjoyed the small beds out on the deck for catching sun and relaxing
Even with the discount on the hotel I still think it wasn't worth the money, the room was nice but it didn't have the secure feeling of most nice hotel/resorts its more of a motel in that theres no real concierge desk or lounge or security area, its just a off a tiny road (actually half the rooms are on one side of the road and half on the other side with barely any security or save keeping. Is not a private beach and had multiple people try to sell us drugs and just be very unsettling toward my girlfriend. I would not recommend it to first time travellers or to families, and although it had a beautiful view theres many other hotels for less with better accommodations and a more secluded environment.

I will rate it to Motel level hotel too old not maintained properly, rust & rotting wood everywhere out of hot water 4pm to 7p, staff not to the level of the 20 island we have visited in the passed hotel location rough neighborhood we drove around the whole island and definitely off our list for the future.

Nice hotel

Posted 24-Dec-2015
They need wifi in the room! That's a must nowadays.. The location seems a lil too deep in, and far from night life, corner store etc. nice hotel but no in room wifi decreases its rating..

gorgeous location - shopping and restaurants near-by

Posted 28-Oct-2015 on Orbitz
gorgeous location on a beach used by world class wind surfers - romantic beach couches to recline on overlooking the view - our room was on the other side of the road and right next to a sweet little pool - felt like we were very isolated - restaurant had helpful and amusing staff but lackluster drinks and food - only a 15 minute cab ride into town - cabbies at the hotel very accommodating - took us to restaurants and wonderful island shopping and waited for us - then gave us a tour of part of the island on the way home - companions kept awake by singing frogs - we loved them

Awesome Anniversary Spot

The hotel is beautiful, huge and overall great. I love the bartender, she's the best! Just far from town, so you'll need a cab to go everywhere is your not renting a vehicle nor comfortable walking to catch a ZR (Zed R - local van transportation). Only downside is that it's very empty in the off season, we went in the beginning of October.

Silverpoint Still Has My Heart

Posted 2-Jul-2015 on Hotels
it was happy to see and experience the contined charm of Silverpoint after 3yr absence. The front desk staff, Marilene, was as pleasant and funny as ever. The upgrade to the Oceanfront studio was appreciated, especially since I was celebrating my Bday. I invited friends to join me and was happy that they experienced the same courtesy. Bar/waitstaff, Michael/Stacey, were also on POINT!!! The only issue I had was the menu. There has been a change in management and that reflected the menu choices. The food choices seem to cater to foreigners instead of having a more Bajan reflected menu it was focised towards Europeans. This also reflects in the prices. I think the hotel would be able to retain more patrons if they had a mid-priced menu. Ppl such as myself hoo on the local vans and head into town to eat, for a more authentic and cost effective option. Reminder: Oistins on Fridays is and should be your only option. Next time I go back I'll make it a choice to get out to Sugar for clubbing. If you like lazy strippers and so/so DJs go to Rehab. Coming from the US I expected a better party atmosphere at Rehab but came home and hit my bottle LOL . If you want a serene, yet stylish boutique hotel the Silverpoint continues to be where it's at!
