Rustic feel, located in a neighborhood away from most restaurants and bars - but that's ok because if you want a place to relax and enjoy the view - this is a great place. Right on the beach, but you can't swim in the water due to the rough waves. Tons of kite surfers to watch - very cool! The room we had was very clean and on the newer side, but definitely simple. The food onsite was amazingggg, definitely try the flying cutter sandwich. Its great to sit on the desk and look at all the turtles and crabs! Love Barbados because they accept US dollars, speak english and you can drink the water! The weather is pretty much in the 80s year round and there's always a breeze so you are never sweaty!!!
The walls are pretty thin at the hotel, as in at night you can hear the very loud crickets and frogs, kind of like camping... and in the bathroom there's a slanted open vent to the outdoors which acts as your "fan". We kept the bathroom door closed so the air conditioning wouldn't just float out and it made it slightly quieter. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay - we only stayed two nights and went down the beach about 20 minutes to another location. We were there for the Super Bowl and going into town didn't take long at all. We felt very safe.
