Everything was great, EXCEPT the elevator was NOT working the whole time! This was very inconvenient as I could not climb the stairs.

CONS: The hotel facilities are a bit dated. Parking directly in front of the hotel and the street exit are tricky to navigate. No elevator for the block of rooms at the back. PROS: Terrific location - very convenient, safe. The room and utensils were very clean. Everything (A/C, plumbing, stove, appliances, etc) worked well. The view was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Security was visible throughout the night. Checking in and out was smooth. Extra parking available across the street was easy to access. OVERALL: Another terrific stay at Blue Orchids and I would highly recommend.

The Blue Orchids does it mostly right. It's not the newest, but its well kept, friendly staff, price competitive, and located in an area along some of the most beautiful coastal views. The beach/boardwalk areas in the Rockley/Worthington/Hastings area is stunning. It's congested and area doesnt standout on the "street" side, but behind the property is just awesome.

Forget about the hotel let’s talk about the restaurant now. Great the food is even if you’re not staying at this hotel, I do recommend taking a day to try either breakfast, lunch or dinner. It was quite tasty.

This property is perfect if you're looking for a 3 star stay. It was clean, practical and functionable. I stayed in a studio with a full kitchen. The view was lovely and the grounds were well kept and clean. I knew I was only going to be at the hotel to sleep/shower so this was just what I needed. Comfortable & Cute.

Beautiful peaceful garden and pool right on Worthing beach, Rockley 2 mins walk. Perfect south coast location, ideal if you have a hire car but also buses right outside. Off street parking. Our ground floor apartment was really comfortable and quiet, everything worked including excellent a/c. It was lovely sitting in our porch onto the garden. Good supermarkets walkable. The baths and a few fittings (windows) are tired and requiring an update. Very frendly staff though reception seemed a little distracted sometimes. Overall a great stay in a little oasis, would definitely come back.

We were so excited to spend a night at Blue Orchid..i had messaged ahead to request a shuttle pickup from airport and after looking around for awhile there was not one there for us so we took a taxi which was fine. Looked lovely on arrival and front desk staff was friendly. Found our room which was on first floor back in a corner. Had a really strong smell apon entering room which lasted until we got some air moving..had 3 bedrooms instead of two which was fine. Room was quite dated and could use some renovation..patio was nice but you cold not see ocean or pool since shrubs were too high when sitting.. Beautiful pool and lovely oceanside property but when we tried to swim there was a really strong undertow so we swam in pool only. Qe had dinner at adjoining resort..sat on balcony right by ocean..lovely atmosphere! Tabi was our waitress and she was good! She remembered dear friends of our visiting from a few years back.. we had a lovely time...ended up being very expensive to eat there ....we were charged $5 US each for a bottle of water, our cappuccino was more like regular coffee. Tip was included with bill but we did not realize it and we added more.. We were all ready to leave the next morning and happy to be going to our next destination! It was nice to visit, but will not return...very busy area and we felt like we paid too much for what we got.

CONS: The hotel is somewhat dated. The exit from the parking lot to the street is narrow, with limited visibility and directly into oncoming traffic so drivers need to be extra cautious. The elevator is super slow and always stops on the 3rd floor even if that's not your destination - far quicker to take the stairs. PROS: Front desk staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful. Checking in and out was smooth and they went above and beyond to help with my requests (e.g. arranging taxis, foreign exchange, answering questions, etc). The hotel is in a very convenient location with public transit right at the gates and many amenities (groceries, restaurants, shopping, etc) within easy walking distance. Cleaning staff kept the room in immaculate condition daily despite its age. Having a full kitchen was very convenient for making quick meals. Kitchen utensils and toilettries were well stocked and everything (air conditioning, hot water, appliances, phone, TV, lamps, etc) functioned perfectly for the duration of my stay. The grounds were also well-kept. The area around the hotel is busy and well-lit and security and other staff were always visible on the premises so felt very safe coming and going no matter the time. OVERALL: I greatly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone.

We had a solid one week stay at Blue Orchid, our goal was to be at a convenient location that would give us access to beaches, and you couldn't get a better beach than Worthing that begins right behind the hotel. The accommodation was perfect for our family of 5 where two of our kids were in the small 2nd bedroom that had two twin beds. Things are a bit dated, particularly the bathroom, but it got the job done and we didn't come in expecting luxury appointments. We were actively out and thus didn't need much more than a quiet place to sleep, which Blue Orchid delivered. The property grounds are prototypical of a classic beach resort/hotel, and our kids enjoyed the pool, while I sat and took in the views of the water. Front desk, and other staff were pleasant and provided competent service, but the folks at the restaurant stood out in there exemplary service interactions with us, which was appreciated and the food was solid. Overall, it was a pleasure to stay at the Blue Orchid.

I loved the hotel room. I booked a suite which came with a small sitting area and kitchenette with utensils. My room gave a perfevt view of the beach. It was a quite hotel which I loved that. It was abput 15 minute walking distance to another beach and shopping center. Perfect location. It also had a really small gym 2 treadmills and a boflex. One of the treadmills was not in working conditions. Overall the stay was good and i would recommend.

The property was pretty clean and security was visible. I felt safe. A few things were disappointing…no condiments (coffee, salt & pepper, sugar). I paid a down payment through Expedia ($306) and they stated they never took out(?), I paid for a shuttle to pick me up from airport and take me back to airport. The front desk did not know what I was talking about when it came to being taken back to airport. I paid $90 for 2. Needless to say I didn’t get picked up for ride back to airport (I felt ripped off). I had to pay for a taxi ($35). Lastly, I asked about information for excursions and no information available. I went through Expedia to plan my tours and fun activities to do. It would have been nice if they had flyers or information available on board.
